Don't know why I'm asking when deep down I know I'm not pregnant, but...

I am 10 dpo. I know, I know why the fuck did I test this early.

I know CB have a rep for giving false positives.

I know this time will not be different to any of the other times in the past 5 years.

I know my period will come within the next few days.

I know I'm probably just seeing things.

I know if there is anything showing up on the tests they are just evaps/indents (though the "lines" did appear within the first min)

I know I'm setting myself up for failure and misery and heartbreak again.

But... can you see anything?

Don't know why I'm asking when deep down I know I'm not pregnant, but...

Don't waste your money on digitalis until your period is due. They're really not very sensitive.

I've got everything crossed for you.

ReneBumsWombats · 31/08/2022 06:53

I do, just, but it's so faint I wouldn't trust it on any blue dye test...they can give you that just from being wet. Get a FRER or at least a pink dye...and if you can, wait until you're due. Even digitals should be reliable by then. (They pick up clear lines, not total squinters. You can break them open to see the strip, as it's the line sensor that's less sensitive rather than the actual test strip itself, but I kind of think that way madness lies).

Good luck.

JimmiChoux · 31/08/2022 07:26

I can definitely see a line too. Fingers crossed for you.

Yep, congratulations!

Get a first response and do it with FMU.

I got a BFN on a clear blue and clear blue digital but BFP on first response. Said child is here and 7YO now.

DougalsBlueJumper · 31/08/2022 07:40

Yes yesy yes, I certainly do see the line. I am ridiculously hopeful for you now OP.

ChagSameachDoreen · 31/08/2022 08:13

I can definitely see a line on the top one. Test again!

Sidonien · 31/08/2022 10:15

There is a line, absolutely! Congratulations!

shieldmaiden7 · 31/08/2022 10:19

I can definitely see a line! Are you going to retest with FR?

NotVeryHopefulBeenHereB4 · 31/08/2022 10:27

I used my last IC on fmu this morning, I got nada. Have some pink dye tests arriving tomorrow. Probably wasted my money on them.

I don't really feel any different, a part from having some pelvic pain on and off from the weekend. I did think my period was coming last night as I had light cramps and lower backache, nothing yet but I'm sure it's on its way.

I don't know, I just don't "feel" that I'm pregnant. So many women in my circle (and on sm) have said they "just knew" from the moment they became pregnant. I'm the opposite, I just know that I'm not!

I'm honestly not sure how much I trust that. For the majority of women, the first symptom is the missed period. I never felt nauseous or anything until round about week 6. In fact, I often get nauseous just before I come on...not feeling sick the day before I'm due can be a pregnancy symptom for me! What do they even mean, the moment they became pregnant? Conception or implantation?

TTC makes people insane and I have sympathy. If you really want it to be happening, you're probably symptom spotting every month from ovulation onwards. Then, when you get your positive, you retrospectively feel that it was different this time and you knew all along.

At any rate, I send you good luck and baby dust and I hope you get what you want very soon.

Definitely a line on top test …I am rubbish at seeing lines normally!
I didn’t feel pregnant with any symptoms with my pregnancies.
Fingers crossed 🤞💐

I didn’t feel pregnant until I was about 9 weeks in, so definitely don’t take the idea you “just know” as gospel. Everyone & every pregnancy is different. I can definitely see a positive line on the top test, wishing you all the best of luck and I really hope you get your baby xxxx

KyaClark · 31/08/2022 11:35

I don't want to get your hopes up but I see a very clear line.

With my first, I just knew, but with my second I felt nothing. Probably because I was looking out for signs.

I have everything crossed for you.

CormoranStrike · 31/08/2022 11:37

Hope you get the answer you want OP.

for what it is worth I never felt pregnant with either of mine, no sickness etc. I didn’t truly believe I was pregnant till I saw the scan.

girlmom21 · 31/08/2022 11:39

I can see lines. Good luck.

I never 'felt' pregnant. DP decided I was pregnant which is why we took a test with both of ours!

fairgame84 · 31/08/2022 11:43

Get a frer.
I had the same on a cb and I wasn't pregnant. It was heartbreaking as we'd been ttc for a long time.
I don't trust cb tests at all.

SweepItUnderTheCarpet · 31/08/2022 11:44

🤞🏻

Samarie123 · 31/08/2022 12:25

I see CB tests haven't improved then. I would say that's negative from my own experience with them in the past. Usually the line would be prominent on CB.

SunscreenCentral · 31/08/2022 12:50

Top one

good luck OP 🍀

I've only ever 'felt' Pregnant with one Pregnancy all my others apart from a positive test I wouldn't have had a clue. I've also felt Pregnant and then got my period a week or so later.

pinkpanther84 · 31/08/2022 15:29

With both of my pregnancies I didn't feel pregnant before I got the positive results. It felt both times like my period was coming (period like pains), fingers crossed for you. I can definitely see a line

NotVeryHopefulBeenHereB4 · 31/08/2022 22:16

I couldn't help myself and got some pink dye tests from the co-op on the way home from work tonight. As I expected, they both came back negative. Shouldn't have bothered.

Period pains have been starting and stopping which I will admit is unusual for me, however I am assuming if the cramps were pregnancy related then it would have shown up on a test.

I bought 2 packs of tests so I can take another with fmu tomorrow morning if I feel I can bear the sight of another negative test.

Tomorrow and Friday will be telling, I usually start spotting a day or two before my period starts so will be on the lookout for that over the next 48 hours 👍

ReneBumsWombats · 31/08/2022 22:23

I'm sorry, OP.

I'd stick to the pink dyes in future...the blue ones are notorious for that. It's not a false positive, it's that the line can turn that incredibly faint grey due to being wet and when you're desperate to see a line there...

But when are you due? I know FRER can detect pregnant up to six days before but that doesn't mean it always can. Always best to wait until you're a day late...if you are pregnant, you should get a clear positive by then. There are always exceptions but that's generally the case.

Thank you. Yes, CB are useless. The pink dye ones I got tonight weren't FR, they were a brand I haven't heard of, baby start I think they're called? The FR are ordered but won't be here until Friday, period is due Saturday.

Tbh, I am so used to this happening by now that I don't expect anything different. It's like a script I've been following for the last 5 years. Have sex, 10 days later observe lines on tests that aren't lines, 4 days later period starts. Month in, month out.

This month will be no different. There was no point to me starting this thread really other than to be a misery guts it would seem.
