11+ this September. How is everyone?

My child sits 11+ in September. Just wondering how others in the same position are getting on?

We had plans to do a mock paper for each subject each week but er haven't done that. They've done some bits here and ther andare plodding through some papers this week.

I have the 10min tests we will keep it ticking over with and they are going to do an external mock test.

I am starting to get so anxious for them. They are naturally bright but we could have done more prep than we have...

Only a few weeks to go! I'm thinking of planning something fun for after the test. And maybe not do much the few days before.

Anyone else?

Got an email from the council yesterday saying we will receive an email after 4pm on Friday with the results - god this is nerve-wracking

CSSE results are out.

Not sure I understand how they calculate the total score out of the individual scores though!

The result given is wildly different from an online calculator so it would be good to understand why there is such a massive difference.

Ours are posted today so should arrive tomorrow (or Monday!) I am so anxious already. Although I've literally just told my worried daughter - "it's not a judgement on you but a test to decide which school you go to - and its not a perfect test. We know you're super smart and if you go to Plan B you'll still be smart! And anyway Plan B has xyz pluses. So either way it will be okay." (Whilst also acknowledging she really will be upset/friends will have got in etc)

It's such a fine line isn't it.

Ours aren't out until end of October. We only get given a pass or fail, then have to apply to school & because they only take top 125 we won't know if we have a place until April. I wish we got given a score so we could see if we had a good chance.

How do other areas do it?

@Bordoisagain I have had the same experience with a wildly different calculation from an online calculator, vs the actual score for csse.

I've just realised there were postal strikes yesterday that are expected to effect today's post 🙈

We only have one grammar in the county. We don’t get scores, just groups. So group A is the top 180 (180 places). B might get in if A don’t take up places. C have minimal chance.
D-R are told not to even consider putting it as an option.
options are put in 10 days after results, places announced in April.

DC has only gone and done it! We are over the moon!

DS has passed. We are so pleased for him

We’ve just been informed that our results which were due to be out on Monday are delayed due to Queen’s death. How have they only just realised?!
