Does anyone else just adore September?

I just love it every year because it always feels like such a new start, far more than New Years does imo.

A shift happens for me every September, in the past it's either been a new relationship, a weight loss, a new job etc. Plus when you have kids it's the start of a new school year, a fresh class or a new school.

The nights start drawing in but it doesn't get dark too early, it's not freezing most years as the sun still has some warmth left.

Everything just always feels new and exciting 😊

It feels like everything is dying to me, so no I don't adore September. It feels like the end of summer and the beginning of miserable dark cold days.

I'm not sure why it's new and exciting tbh.

Me too. I woke up today to grey clouds and drizzle and it's very depressing. I would ideally click my fingers and make it late April if I could. Spring is the best.

Yes. I love it. It means the weather is cooling down where I live and we can be outdoors more. My garden is calling out for attention and I can start to seriously think about planting my seedlings for the vegetables I’ll grow over our winter. It also means that when I pass the beach there will be waves at sea instead of it being very flat and calm. And of course it means the start of the new school year for 6 of my grandchildren but I feel sorry for them due to the pressure children seem to be under nowadays even though they appear to take it in their stride. Oh and it also means that if we’re lucky we’re on our way to perhaps having to wear a jumper sometime over the next 5 months.

I'm enjoying this thread! As of this week it's dark when my alarm goes off which can only mean autumn is on it's way.
I've never thought of doing seasonal displays but this year I might @Glittersparkle76

Ooh I love doing them,Amazon have got some lovely autumnal bits, last year I brought artificial autumn leaves, little mini pumpkins and berries and tealight holders that were slices of a log.I made a lovely wreath for the front door with the artificial leaves and placed the others in the lounge in a little display area with the mini pumpkins and berries.

Yes, September always feels brimming with hope and excitement for me (even when life is being shitty).
