Vogue Williams SLAMS passenger who refused to swap seats with her on plane because Vogue had booked the wrong seat.

mol.im/a/11126879

Yes, Vogue. Other people should do what you say and be disadvantaged because YOU booked the wrong seat.

Rude, entitled awful woman! She would have been told to fuck off if she expected me to move !

Donotgogentle · 19/08/2022 23:40

Two of these threads deleted today. And a TAAT asking why.

I don't think she's on here. If she was she'll know that real women have no patience for disorganised entitled brats. I don't mind a bit if effing and jeffing in context, but what she said about that man, who she admits moved when she realised she had young children, was out of order. I can't believe she's in the Cambridge's circle, I wonder what they make of her?

Spot on!

cherish123 · 20/08/2022 00:29

Not read the thread but i assume Vogue is a person and not THE Vogue (as in the magazine). I thought from the title, you meant the magazine. I thought why would magazine writers comment on Mumsnet.

Accidentally not having to sit next to your DC on the plane is surely a gift from the gods?

🤣🤣. On the same page

Frolicinameadow · 19/08/2022 18:51

Did anyone listen to the podcast rather than read the dm article?
it was her husband asked the man to move and the man got arsey and responded using his name. The implication being that he assumed Spencer was asking because he’s semi famous. When he saw vogue and the kids I think he moved.
She had a little rant and moved on. You lot must be saints to never give out about anything ever. It’s a seat on a plane, not the queens thrown.

oh and she also admitted it was the fault of her manager who didn’t book them seats together.

A man didn't move for another man. Why would he? He very kindly moved when he saw a wife and kids. The passenger sounds lovely. The celebrity doesn't.

I had to Google her......

Me too.

diddl · 20/08/2022 03:05

I can't believe she's in the Cambridge's circle,

Is she though?

I mean she's related to a relative by marriage-doesn't mean that they have much to do with her though does it?

agedasiago · 20/08/2022 03:17

Awwwww, I thought you were going to reveal that Anna Wintour is on here!

As for whoever these other people are: they ask someone to switch is aisle seat for a window (you can ask, but it's completely unreasonable to assume he should) and then call him a twat, arsehole, piece of shite, rubbish etc. because he originally said no even though he agreed when he realised there were small children?

"Spenny" and "Vogue" are horrendously entitled, but it's not really news, Daily Mail dudes.

Iamacatslave · 19/08/2022 19:18

What must Pippa think….

Pippa would have gone down the same path if the Cambridgeshire hadn't put a stop to it.

J0y · 20/08/2022 06:57

I doubt vogue has met Kate and William it'd be normal to meet yr sil's sister I think but I doubt pippa has made that intro.

Vogue from a privileged background herself though, not as €€€€ but she will never say anything she might know about pippa or Kate.

I dont trust her buddy Johannesburg mcnally though. Hope she's careful what she says to her.

QuebecBagnet · 20/08/2022 07:02

Years ago I was on a plane back in the day before you could book seats. For some reason they’d put dh, Dd and a random woman on one row and me on the row behind.

the woman kindly turned round and offered to swap with me and was a bit flummoxed when I thanked her but said I was fine where I was. I got my book out, put my headphones out and had the best two hours of my life in a long time! 😆

FredrikaPeri · 20/08/2022 07:10

No idea who she is.
What a cringey name though!
Can you imagine the baby name thread?

"I really love the following names for our baby girl, but DH isn't keen:

Vogue
Tatler
Time
Aquila

What other names might I like?"

laurelleafs · 20/08/2022 07:53

It's more the way she and Spencer too act like being on a plane with children is like inhaling oxygen, an absolute life necessity unquestionable, completely day to day event that other people should give up their own seats for.

Just a massive stealth number of holidays boast

SundayTeatime · 20/08/2022 08:03

I can’t imagine P&G will be impressed. It’s a really bad image. Those ads are dreadful in the first place and actively put me off buying whatever laundry product it is.

Nekomata · 20/08/2022 08:32

I agree that it's a total non-story. The guy was rude when Spencer asked him to move, then realised he was being a bit of a plonker by not letting a mum sit by her young kids.

I've flown with my kids when they were young and it's hard work and too many people are rude.

Many of us have flown/fly with our kids - we don’t ask strangers to swap seats and we certainly don’t call them fucking pieces of shit on SM if they say no. The only rude people here are Vogue and ‘Spenny’

Agree @SundayTeatime this cannot be doing their brand any favours

diddl · 20/08/2022 09:07

The guy was rude when Spencer asked him to move,

Why was he?

How is it rude if he specifically chose and paid for the aisle seat? He might have IBS, chrones, or just wants to have a bit more space to stretch his legs. What is rude is people thinking that because they have children, whatever they want trumps everyone else.

PolaDeVeboise · 20/08/2022 09:10

@Frolicinameadow Hi Vogue! Or relation of Vogue... You gave yourself away with 'give out', all my DH's Irish rellies use that expression, UK people tend not to.

There would probably be a follow-up thread years later about school places, panicking that little Vogue had only managed to get into their third choice and would have to mix with chavvy kids like Chat, Takeabreak and Thatslife.

WomanStanleyWoman2 · 20/08/2022 09:20

It’s a seat on a plane, not the queens thrown.

Sitting in the Queen’s seat would you probably get you throne off the plane…

balalake · 20/08/2022 09:26

If you have the bad judgment to marry a member of Westlife, my sympathies end there.

mydogisthebest · 20/08/2022 09:31

I can't stand her. She is, unfortunately, fairly often on Steph's Packed Lunch and I find her irritating and up herself. Stupid name too.

Makes me want to vomit when she calls that idiot husband "Spenny". If she wants to call him that in private fine but otherwise his name is Spencer.

I would not have moved for her

NeverDropYourMooncup · 20/08/2022 09:31

Doesn't this completely contradict the main message of the washing detergent campaign?

Always keep out of reach of children.
