No worse than some of the track suits with the massive brand names on them.
It’s irony at it’s best.

I think some people are taking it as a serious statement of affiliation. You can hear the whooooshhh as it passes overhead. It’s satire. A wry poke at our culture.

That looks shite. That's all we're saying.

Titsywoo · 17/08/2022 19:13

I wanted the crocs but they only have the range for men Angry

A friend of mine has the sliders!
It's a piss take and I find it funny.

Who wants to walk around looking like a Greggs employee??

Nothing wrong with looking like a greggs employee

tapdancingmum · 17/08/2022 20:00

My DD has the white shorts and socks. She was tasked with wearing a 'shit' shirt to the commonwealth cricket and was going to go head to toe in Greggs stuff but found a short in a charity shop so just got the shorts. She said they were very comfy and has taken them to Spain with her.

Comedycook · 17/08/2022 20:01

I think

That's not what everyone is saying though.

Lots of things that other people like look shit anyway. The difference is that this isn't meant to look good.

vjg13 · 17/08/2022 20:18

There was loads of interest in that section last time in was in Primark, I'm definitely not the target market though!

toomuchlikemyusername · 17/08/2022 20:24

My DS (18) has bought the beanie hat which he'll wear with glee and relish in the piss-take that his mates will pile upon him.
Given that when he was about 7 he used to dress in all manner of stripes, checks, patterns and colours combined in a single eye watering outfit, he looks (almost) the epitome of sartorial elegance in his Greggs hat, white T shirt and navy shorts! I might draw the line at the crocs tho...

weegiemum · 17/08/2022 20:44

My 20 yo ds has a pair of Tennants sliders.

Insists he's wearing them when he moves into halls to start his degree next month!

PlanetNormal · 17/08/2022 20:53

I saw a young lad in the street last weekend wearing what appeared to be a Gregg’s branded basketball shirt & shorts. This wouldn’t have looked quite so silly if he had the build to carry it off, but he was about 5’6 & 15 stone, so he looked a complete plonker.

Beansycheese · 17/08/2022 21:07

No one is buying the baseball jacket. Expect them to be half price next month.

Social media from 5 years ago. What hs that got to do with a range of slightly amusing clothing?

Bonkerz · 17/08/2022 21:31

I think the point is that promoting greggs is a little dodgy when you find out one of the owners is a convicted offender.

FT123456 · 17/08/2022 21:34

Haven't seen this... but heading to a primark tomorrow... be interesting to see but not sure who would wear it 🤷‍♀️

IsThePopeCatholic · 17/08/2022 21:49

Yet more stuff destined for landfill.

mrsbyers · 17/08/2022 22:02

I am currently wearing a pair of sausage roll socks , my mum bought loads of it for my 17 year old nephew to take to Leeds festival and I nicked a pair of socks - I did decline the bucket hat she said she had bought for me though

No, there isn't - as long as you are actually a Greggs employee Grin
And even if you were - who walks around in their uniform all day?

I worked in Greggs in the mid 90’s. I was telling my dh this week I was tempted to buy a hoodie, as I have hoodies from the universities I attended. It's the same kind of thing…
