Am I unusually heavy for my size or do I have reverse body dysmorphia?

Name change as this is incredibly obviously outing if you know me at all.

I’m often seeing threads with women saying they weigh X amount and are Y size, or have a low BMI and wear a larger size than me or think they need to lose weight. I can’t tell if I am unusually dense (yes I’m aware that muscle is ‘heavier’ but I’m not an elite athlete by any stretch!), or just think I look much slimmer than I actually do 😂

I’m about 166cm. What do I weigh and what clothing size do I wear?

Its impossible to tell tbh just from photos. You could be tiny and curvaceous or bigger. Lovely figure anyway. And the jeans are not unflattering at all, I love them.

I'd also say 12 top, 14 bottom and around 12 stone or so.

You have strong looking thighs, which can therefore be heavy.

Don't worry so much about weight. You look like your body fat is in the healthy range and don't carry fat around your middle which is of most concern for health.

I literally have no clue when it comes to guessing people's dress size and weight. I think I underestimate because I tend to think people are about my size so must weigh about the same, and then I learn they're 3 stone heavier or something.

People carry weight in all different ways. I am 9 stone, 5'7 and Size 10. I was still a size 10 at 8 1/2 stone. I have a straight up and down figure with no defined waist so no matter how thin my arms/legs/face get, I can't get smaller than size 10 trousers to do up. Unless they are M&S or Next!

Only a very tall person would be waif like at 10 stone.
I'm 5'8" and if you consider a BMI of 18.5 to be waif like - that's 8 stone 10.

Yes, I understand that 10 stone might feel too low for some people, but in general 10 stone is not waif like.

I know from long (several years) bitter experience that my periods stop when I sink below 9 stone 3 and I'm only 5'6". I think you have to take weight with a bit of a pinch of salt. You look very healthy and have a great figure, that's what matters.

i used to have a figure like yours (which I think is lovely btw) I was 5'4", so shorter than you and weighed between 9st4 and 9 st 10 to look like that. I was size 10-12 and pretty chunky and muscly and curvy but not fat.

I think people are over estimating what you weigh. I'd be amazed if you weighed much over 10 stone or took a size bigger than 12 in anything.

I would think you're a 14-16 but I'm no good at guessing weight. It's normal for people to be over weight now (as so much of the population is) so people see that as being normal. For example you should be able to see a child's ribs but a lot of people would see that as being bad or too skinny. We generally just can't tell any more what being overweight means.

Reckon size 14 and 11 to 11.5 stone

You look slimmer than me and I wear an 8-10 top and 12 bottoms and currently weigh just under 70kg (11 stone) at 168cm so probably a bit less than that.....65kg maybe and a size 10-12??
I do think I've quite heavy for my size, when i went to a hospital appointment the nurse was shocked at how much i weighed but i do exercise and lift fairly heavy weights 2-3 times a week, that said I'm not elite athlete!

I guess about 13 stone and size 16. I think pear shaped people tend to look smaller than they actually are.

I'm 5.8 and fluctuate between 9.12 and 10.1. I can assure you I'm not waif-like! I wish I was but I'm not.

I think you're possibly 12-13 stone. You do look chunkier but not unhealthy. You have a lovely body shape.

last not so much just doesn’t suit the figure as they are all gathered at the waist making them look bigger than they are.

I’ve lost weight (for health) and feel if I go to low I look ill so try and stay at 9st 6/7 for my height which is 5ft 3

But from a pic looks can be deceiving as I know a bodybuilder that is a 14 top and 10 bottom but can’t wear the 10 because of her hips and legs as they are toned as fuck so are a 14 and she has to have loads of her clothes altered.

I'd be mortified if someone said I looked chunkier!

All these people saying 13 stone I'd love to see you post a picture of someone you think weighs 10 stone as I just can't get my head around some of these replies.

You have a lovely hourglass figure OP and you're a similar height to me, but I'm one of those people who are lighter than others think and your post is about being heavier than others think. So I'm going to guess you're around 11 stone and take a 14 or 16. You look great!
