Just lighthearted as I can't sleep

I'll start - I buy way too many books.
I love to read but on my last count I have 518 on my bookshelf. I've cut back on spending now and am getting them from bookswaps instead

So what's your thing?

Fabric, much too much, I see it and fall in love.
Books, beautiful books. Although novels go on my kindle.
Paper, such beautiful textures and patterns.
Clothes, and don't even wear some of them.

All the above, not including the books, have become a real problem and I am working on donations and selling and not buying, since Christmas.

Oh, and pens, which I have loved since a small child. Mainly fountain pens, but others too

Whatever my brain is obsessing over at that time. In the last year this has included plants, English wines, shampoo bars, leave in conditioners, facial serums, hand creams, bulk packs of bicarbonate of soda and citric acid, essential oils, camping stuff, shorts and summer dresses.

I’m trying really really hard to stop this. It’s like I identify I need a pair of shorts, go on vinted and end up buying six pairs of shorts, three dresses, two bikinis and a hoodie. I only needed one pair of shorts. Or I wanted a monstera so went to buy one and then decided that the butterfly palm and snake plant looked really cool too and I needed them. Then two weeks later I’ve bought another 5 plants. Need a new shampoo and want to go plastic free so look at bars, end up buying 12 different bars because I can’t decide between them 🤦🏻‍♀️

Nothing now but if I could get back what I spent on makeup, skincare and hair stuff in my 20s I'd probably have a house deposit 😂

LEGO. It's my comfort buy.

Trainers.

Hoodies and T-shirts.

I'm really a 15 year old boy trapped in a middle aged woman's body.

Spices/spice mixes. It's ridiculous and includes plenty of duplicates as I shop for a recipe, can't remember if I have the right herb or spice at home so buy another so I don't end up making a second trip. Inevitably when I do get home, there are multiple of said random spices already in the cupboard.
