Naked cycle ride in my town today

We have a naked cycle ride through our local town this afternoon.
Apparently, it’s a protest against car usage.
This has been a thing for several years now (with a hiatus over the last two years).
About 4 years back my, (at the time), 10 year old dd pointed these people out to me when we were walking near the town one day. We stood there whilst a load of (mainly) middles aged and older men cycled past completely naked.
I have no issue with body image and my kids have grown up not to be ashamed of their bodies/nakedness etc but I don’t think it’s on for naked strangers to be cycling past young children with everything on show.
I am all for protesting and especially global warming/climate control issues but wouldn’t it be better to be done in a more fun/carnival-type way where they can involve all ages and the protesters could stop and talk to people and express their concerns, hand over leaflets with tips and advice to reduce car use etc? This seems a bit pointless, I mean, who would want to stop and chat to naked 60 year old Bob about his concerns over global warming while his cock and balls are sat there flopped over the bike seat, no thanks!
I don’t know if this is a country-wide protest but it’s coming to another nearby town in a few weeks.
Has anyone else seen this in their town? Do you have any thoughts about it?

Weird how 'inclusivity' ofteneans accepting men getting their cocks out.

Lacking awareness of what Stravaig? What the human body looks like? That’s not bloody diversity.
My community would be better to encourage a protest where everyone is involved from babies to the elderly. Being naked has no place in protests in which the whole community should be involved. Something where protestors can stop and chat to onlookers and explain their plight, hand over leaflets etc and encourage more people to get involved.
Would you be happy standing there today encouraging your young dc to get involved with a naked bike ride with strangers? If that’s a yes then you need to have a quiet word with yourself.

More hiding in plain sight, the dirty perverts.

I mean they could ride in trunks/swimsuits and get the same message across?

Greenday49 · 16/07/2022 21:17

I couldn't waste a thought process on this to be honest. Does it really matter? Avoid it if you don't like it.

Like I have said, older folk riding about naked on bicycles is a useless way to bring an important issue to the majority, how can they include young people in their protests when they are all naked.

There's no rule book on protesting.

Chucking yourself in front of racing horses wasn't relevant nor dumping a boat in the street or gluing yourself to the road.

And they all annoy people.

Yeah I'd be staying indoors

A few years ago I attended a 'drop the debt' event in Hyde Park, where Bill Gates spoke.

Walked back to Green Park tube station and on a roundabout were a large number of photographers, all male it seemed. Just before arriving at said tube station the Naked Bike Ride started to come past. I'd bet the photographers only wanted to take pictures of any naked women, not that I saw any.
