Good morning all! What's everyone up to on this beautiful day?

I'm just having my first cuppa of the day, with dd1. She's up early so we can nip to town for fruit for the week, from the market. I've got a small load of washing in the machine & another on the line already.

When we get back, I'm off to sit in a friends garden with a couple of other friends, and a bottle of wine, for the afternoon. Tea for me will be whatever nibbles she's decided on.

The girls are staying here with their dad. He's going to walk to Lidl this morning, with dd2, for more suncream. Not sure what they'll do for tea but the freezer's quite full.

When I get in, I expect it'll be shower & flake in my big chair after afternoon drinking for the first time in ages!

Good morning, I am up nice and early waiting for my Sainsbury’s delivery (I can be a bit too lazy at weekends so I am trying to not be). Once that’s done I’m also off to the market for nice barbecue bits for tonight and some fruit. Perhaps I'll get some doughnuts if the doughnut stand is there today. I’ve already opened all the windows to air the house, started ironing, hoovered and tidied the kitchen so I am feeling very productive. Along with barbecue we have lots of rugby to enjoy today and hopefully some time in the garden. A nice quiet day 😀

Saturday morning pilates for me then meeting my eldest DD for pre holiday mani & pedis.
Both DDs being taken away overnight by their dad. This is unheard of so I am going to be relishing the P&Q.

Next weekend we have Homesitters arriving and moved house just a couple of months ago so a final push on getting stuff to charity, loft/garage or in cupboards so it doesn't look like the place has been burgled for them.

I'm still grumpy as my neighbour woke me up drilling at 5am, only managed 4 hours sleep!

I need to go food shopping, and then this afternoon I'm building up my new rattan garden furniture which I'm super excited about as I've never had nice matching garden furniture before so hopefully that'll cheer me up.

Myself and DD will be making a trip to Lidl soon for weekly shop and then probably a lot of nothing at all although I do need to clean the bathroom...

Washing is on the line though! I've started doing it overnight on a timer (who knew it would make life so much easier?? )

Have watered the plants while still cool and shady. Just about to take DS to his swimming lesson then 2.5 hours of beavers at a campsite learning tent pitching, cooking etc. FIL arriving at some point this morning too. This afternoon will probably be relaxing at home, might pop to the river for a paddle and an ice cream. Going to enjoy our last relatively cool day before the high temps over the next three days.

Breakfast at the farm shop cafe... It Was soo good. Then strawberry picking with the kids and paddling pools!

My mums on her way to mine like she has been for the last week or so as I'm struggling with a herniated disc and something with my nerves causing numbness.

So mums been taking extra good care of me. She's my carer anyway but she's really doing everything that she can to help me out.

My brothers coming today too. Not seen him since he started his new job last month so will be nice to see him and catch up.

It’s my sister’s hen do today! As usual I have left bits to the last minute so I need to go buy an outfit and balloons. Very much looking forward to some champagne later!

Recovering from last night. 🙄 Quiet day in the house /garden. Ddog has a bad paw so will be quiet (very rare for a border collie) so I'm embracing it. Have to go to post office later to post SIL birthday present. That's it.

Up for a while - too hot to sleep so I gave up!

Done some laundry, emptied and refilled dishwasher, watered my poor tomatoes (they aren’t liking the heat) and am on my second coffee.

need to go shopping today as my glasses need changing. That’s about it.

DD has chicken pox so not much!

We're in the lakes on a short break, its beautiful. Lying in bed just now looking forward to my hotel brekkie😋

Morning Lucysmam and everyone. Just chilling in the cool atm. Coffee on the go and just been out to pick some raspberries for breakfast with some Greek yoghurt.

We were meant to be paddleboarding this afternoon but DH fell off his bike and hurt his ribs yesterday so we have postponed.

Relaxing in the garden and BBQ for tea seems like a plan 🌞🌞🌞🌞

Been granted a lay-in which is nice, but I'll get up soon and get ready, I'm a dog walker so I have a visit at noon so will be keeping an eye on the temperature to see if that can go ahead. Might take the kids fruit picking this afternoon.

Packing and tidying the house ready for some friends staying while we are away!
Sun is shining so hopefully a swim in the lake at some point and then an early night ready for flight back to the uk tomorrow!

Taking dd2 (9) to a party at the trampoline place for 10.30. I've just wrapped up the present and she can make the card while I'm in the shower.
Dd1 (12) is still snoozing.

Later on I'm planning a gardening session and general tidy. We might go for a walk at plymbridge so the dog can have a swim. He's not getting walked much in the heat! Depends how hot it is later.

Dd2 seems exhausted after ballet exam and awards performance this week so trying to get her in bed early tonight.

Morning! Awake early so had a lovely quiet bath and then sat in garden.
DD2 is away at adventure camp until Sunday DD1 wants to pop to town for last few holiday bits as we go Wed.
DH has gone to do a few hours work before it gets too hot.
Holiday prep and lots of sitting for this weekend , no idea what we will eat as I'm trying to run down the fridge and freezer. Will probably do bacon cobs or sandwiches.
DD1 working later and then I'm going to tidy DD2's room while she is out as I can never get in there!

We were meant to be going to a BBQ but the host rang to say he has covid.

DH has decided to go fishing. the Dcs are gaming. I am still in pyjamas and plan only to water the garden later and maybe watch The Railway Children because I want to see the new film and that will be next week.

Hoping for a quiet day here. DP is out at work so I'm at home with the puppy. It's a bit hot for him to be going out so I've committed myself to a day reading in the garden, a hard life. I've got the new Lisa Taddeo short story collection to finish off (don't recommend it at all but am stubbornly persevering) and then I'll start something new. Recommendations welcome!

Did a food shop last night so will spend some time washing and prepping fruit and salad bits for meals this week.

At swimming with Dd2 , then she has tap which I get to watch as it is the last one .
Dd2 is going to her dads this afternoon for the night as Dd1 has her year 6 leavers disco which I have volunteered to help at .

I have been rudely awoken by a man coming to collect a large shutter fronted wardrobe. I don't own one so this was perplexing! Turns out he had the right street address but wrong town! He phoned his boss and told him what had happened and said that I was a lovely lady! Then getting ready for a big bbq at some friends which will frankly be carnage with ridiculous amounts of alcohol consumed in the heat. What could possibly go wrong?

I took the dog out before 8.30
Will be mostly writing blog posts for my woo website and doing paperwork today
DP is DJing in Croatia so it's extra quiet

Currently sitting in the car park while DS does gymnastics then I'm taking him to the skate park and nipping to the shop for a present. He has a party from 2-5.30 (is it just me or is that overly long??) then home where DH can take over for the evening while I enjoy a wine in the garden.
