Good morning all! What's everyone up to on this beautiful day?

I'm just having my first cuppa of the day, with dd1. She's up early so we can nip to town for fruit for the week, from the market. I've got a small load of washing in the machine & another on the line already.

When we get back, I'm off to sit in a friends garden with a couple of other friends, and a bottle of wine, for the afternoon. Tea for me will be whatever nibbles she's decided on.

The girls are staying here with their dad. He's going to walk to Lidl this morning, with dd2, for more suncream. Not sure what they'll do for tea but the freezer's quite full.

When I get in, I expect it'll be shower & flake in my big chair after afternoon drinking for the first time in ages!

It is raining and cool here (hotter weather forecast for next week) and I am about to start on my usual Saturday chores, today including the traditional cleaning of the drains (basins, shower and bathtub).
DH has already done the weekly foodshop and is now tending to his tomatoes and chilis.

Just heading home from work, got a paddling pool for kiddos for the upcoming heatwave.🏖

We are planning to go the lake this afternoon and that's pretty much all as I'm at work tomorrow whole day,

I am tireder than god, 2 knackering weeks and managed to fall asleep on the sofa woke up at 4 in a weird position..🤨

However I have got my self to the hairdresser for a long overdue cut and colour

Then lunch with a friend and a (mini) walk in the 🔆

I've had covid all week and finally feeling a bit better today. DH has taken the DCs to their club this morning, I'm hoovering and procrastinating mopping the floor. Just searching FB marketplace for a paddling pool for the kids. Fed up of buying a new pool every year and it gets wrecked so trying to go down the second hand route.

Experimenting leaving all the curtains and doors shut today. We have glass on the front of the house which faces the sun ALL DAY so we bake regularly. Experimenting today so we can prepare for Monday.

After I've done a few chores and life admin I'm going to get some rest and finish watching the umbrella academy and continue isolating from everyone. Haven't given the kids a cuddle all week and it's torturous 😭 but I really don't want them getting it in the first week of the holidays.

DF is coming over with some lateral flows later so we may have a very distanced drink over the garden fence!

It’s winter here and I met a friend at the beach, we walked through the sunshine for close to two hours. Feels good to be alive ☀️

I have some items to pick up locally. Then need to check in (phone) with a friend who was at A&E last night.
Got to start getting clothes sorted for holiday, put some washing on, do a bit of tidying and then probably relax in the garden, if I can find a nice shady spot.

3.5 hour party is ridiculous, IMO.

Surging Mumsnet procrastinating as I need to get chores done before our house becomes an inferno!

Off to London today as we’re going to see George Ezra tomorrow - anyone here going? Bit nervous with the heat but going to go later on and hopefully stick at the back away from the crowds (if that’s possible!)

We all have covid in this house so there will be a lot of lounging in the garden and minimal going out. I’m going to go out on my bike in a bit as I’m avoiding the gym.

I've had coffee and a chocolatine, and am next going to be prepping the chillis and peppers that have been munched by critters in my garden in the hope of saving the rest of each specimen...which means cleaning, cutting out the bad bits and then licking each one to see if it is hot or sweet. Then bagging appropriately for the freezer.

Then I am afraid I'll be hiding indoors or on the hammock as it is set to be steaming today.

Morning everyone. Been up for a while. Struggling to sleep in the heat.

DH made everyone breakfast so now we are sitting about discussing plans for the day. Visit friends and maybe a takeaway later.

Kids tired from a busy week so trying to have a relaxing day.
