...sitting indoors with the blinds shut wearing nothing but a giant pair of M&S nude pants and spraying myself with a plant spraying bottle.

Honestly, I'm not a troll and I'm so happy I live alone so that no one can see me!! What are you doing to keep cool?

Cycling through the ice cube trays, emptying them into tupperware and refilling the trays so we have plenty of ice ready to go... far too much time on my hands.

I love you all! You lot in your shorts (I'm not that brave!) and bra and knickers! I ventured into the garden last weekend and my 88yr old neighbour was out in her bra and knickers, we had a chat over the fence as usual, I tried not to look!

I have to take the recycling bin out this evening and am scowling at my clothes. I may be arrested if I go outside with just my Bridget Jones pants on! I'll have to be brave and chuck something on.

Isle of Wight here and its fabulous for all the people on holiday. But too hot for me. I'm liking a lot of your suggestions but I may just fill the bath with the frozen veg from the freezer and dive in!

Ice cube trays! I'll fill those up and add them to the frozen veg!!

I'm in London and it actually felt a bit cooler today than the last few days. We had a nice breeze where I am.

I'm well set up for it though. Wfh and only part time. Very large paddling pool to lounge in and portable air con in the bedroom. If I'm very hot at bedtime I have a cool shower and then stand naked in front of the air con. Best feeling ever 😁

Hot water bottles are a great idea in the freezer.

Just have to say that my decorator buggered off a few days ago. I can hang paper, tile, whatnot but can't plaster and apparently it's too hot for that. I need plastering done before I can paper. But bloody go you with no curtains! I'm impressed you've done that in this heat!

I am not a fan of sweltering summer days but I found today perfect! The the right temperature, some clouds and a lovely breeze. We’re in the sw.

I'm in Scotland. Have chronic pain so need all the heat!

Went out today wearing t shirt, jumper and waterproof ( for the rain). Wasn't too hot.

It’s not that hot here. I have been working from home in shorts and a t shirt but I could do with a hoodie now. I’ve eaten 2 ice pops today if that counts?

@Itsincidental I have chronic pain too and have found the heat has made it worse. Shall we swap homes for the summer?! I've always wanted to go to Scotland!

Seriously though, I'm amazed it's that much cooler 😱

37.9 degrees outside by this afternoon, so I spent it indoors, shutters closed, fan on, doing housework and having a nap.

I’m in France. Heading to Scotland on Saturday to visit family and I Cannot Wait!

It was 13.5 degrees and raining on the way home from school pick up today although it did hit the heady heights of 20 earlier on. Had thought I might have a fire tonight but it seems a bit warm. I'm in Northumberland.

It's been okay here today! About 25 degrees I believe, in the south west. That's usually getting on for 'too hot' for me but as it's a little cooler than it has been recently, plus we have had a bit of breeze, it's actually been quite pleasant.

Not looking forward to 35 on Monday!

West coast of Scotland.
I wore my oodie while I wfh. Then after work I put on my slipper's over my socks and got one of the cats and a blanket to warm me up.

I have four massive fans in one room. It's like a whirling vortex in the centre where the air meets but it does make it more bearable. Was cooler today though thankfully. Dreading next week!
