Why are you awake at this time?

I'm awake because I stupidly let myself get dehydrated today and I've been sick as a dog all evening.

No excuses, I've lived in much hotter countries in the past so I know the risks and how much to drink.

Stay hydrated, everyone!

thank you for making me laugh. my mom always thanked my dad that he didn't get her pregnant during the summer.

Flight to Amsterdam! 😆

My stepdad recently passed and I had a bad day with my mum yesterday- she isn’t coping at all. So that’s on my brain on trying to fix a situation I can’t. it’s heartbreaking but I’m doing the best I can to keep my mum going- whatever it takes
then
my two year old woke up hysterical with ear pain but then went back to sleep.
do you ever feel like you just need a break to recover from life itself?
it’s nice to know so many are awake though.

Cakeandcoffee93 …. Poor thing, ear ache can be the very devil. Hope you can get some rest too. Life can be overwhelming at times. Just keep going.

Just watched our DS take off from States online coming home after a visit to his grandparents for the first time on his own. Can't sleep with worry. 🤦

And here I was about to complain about getting up at 3am (stopped working at 10:30 last night) to carry on working on my insane workload at the end of term…

To the posters who have loved ones in hospital or are going through a tough time 💐

I'm up because I have a 3 month old puppy who is a nightmare, she wakes through the night barking for attention. I make sure she's let out to toilet etc but once back inside she's just whining and barking when we try to leave and go back to bed. We haven't slept properly in weeks. We are crate training but last couple of nights we let her roam the kitchen instead (with her beautifully behaved older sister pup) thinking it would help (especially in this heat) and it actually made her worse. Everything I read suggests she will grow out of it but no progress so far. Feel like I need to be firm and not pay the barking attention but it's so hard. Our other girl slept through after 3 nights and never barked at all and waited patiently for us to come down in the morning. We can take her out for walks from next week so I'm hoping this will help tire her out. I think she needs to go back in her crate. So far everything I thought having a second puppy would be has been the opposite Confused

Woke at 3am because ... insomnia?
So usual insomnia means I'm still awake.
Thinking of trying to sleep again now...

SpindleInTheWind · 14/07/2022 05:47

I was sleeping with the window open and was woken at 05.15 by a woman screaming and shouting (the ‘f**k off’ variety) at the top of her lungs.

I'm in Australia and it's the middle of the day Brew

SpindleInTheWind · 14/07/2022 07:17

Well it’s 07.15 here and now there’s a bloody woman outside loudly performance managing her very loud yappy dog.
