TUR-coys - coys like boys but with the ‘o’ sound a little shorter. Slight emphasis on the first syllable.

GAH-radge - ‘dge’ sound as in ridge.

I also spell the first turquoise which is the only correct way of writing it.

I say tur kwoy s as well but my Dad used to say tur koys (was from Durham area). I say garridge for garage- although increasingly hear gar raaajh.
