Last night I fantasised about…

Plunging a bit fat sissors or similar sharp object in the NDN but one’s paddling pool.

I would 100 percent do it, if I could get away with
it. I’ve even discussed with DH the best and most effective way to do it! 😀
The fucking shrieking and bellowing is doing my nut in, and every time I hear the twatty parents encouraging them, I want to do something to seriously injure them!
This is the one thing I hate about summer. Well that and topless men wandering around Tesco, or anywhere else for that matter. It’s fucking vile!

If I was boss for the day, I’d ban paddling pools, and topless men!!
How about everyone else? What would you ban?

Does it feel good making a house full of kids potentially homeless because you hate the sound of childhood joy?

Childhood joy 😂

@miltonj Yes 100 per cent, and the sooner the better. If they can’t behave like decent human beings then they’re should be consequences!

Holy fuck you're vile. You need to go live far far away from other people by the sounds of things.

Funkyslippers · 11/07/2022 18:42

I love hearing kids splashing about, just a lovely noise on a hot day. I'm just glad my kids are too old for paddling pools as they used to always expect me to get in too....

reallyshouldbeworking · 11/07/2022 18:43

I understand what you mean OP. There's a big difference between the sound of children playing and it generating into screaming. Some parents just don't give a shit unfortunately.

There's playing and there's playing
Constant shrieking/screaming/yelling from 9am - 6pm I have so I work with my windows closed
Can't sit in the garden without noise cancelling headphones on

Playing is fine, screaming like they're being tortured for 8hrs.. no
If I had screamed like that I would have been told to get inside

ILoveMeSteakIDo · 11/07/2022 18:46

Id ban my miserable fucking neighbors who moans every time our kids make the slightest noise or our generally quiet dog barks while playing. In the meantime they can smoke as much weed as they want, the smell of which makes me feel sick.

Nietzschethehiker · 11/07/2022 18:46

Actually I'm in your camp to an extent op and I have two dc and a paddling pool. However I have little tolerance for shrieking and screaming. There really isn't any need for it. My two know they get brought in if that starts. Laughing is fine, splashing as long as it doesn't bother others but actually I hate the shrieking myself and I gave birth to them.

It's really disingenuous to say it's just about the paddling pool. Two children well behaved in the pool is rarely an issue. Shrieking , screaming and making a racket constantly is not. Its not rocket science to understand the difference (although I see many pp are wilfully pretending to misunderstand).

I have quite a severe sensory reaction to high pitched noises so I can't bear it myself. It physically hurts me. If the neighbours have had several complaints from more than one person this isn't normal paddling pool noise. I can guarantee if my neighbours hear a shriek the next thing they hear is me telling them to come in. (To be fair the DC have learned their lesson and don't shriek or become too loud if they want to stay out )).

Hardly their fault you work from home.

Pocolovo · 11/07/2022 18:47

@AllThingsServeTheBeam I’ll pass that comment on to my other neighbours who have made an official complaint about these arseholes. I’m sure it will tickle them😀

@ILoveMeSteakIDo it's not but I also have to shut the window if I wanted to watch TV. Or do anything like reading a book

I mean if this is acceptable for 8hrs I'll start blasting rave tunes for 8hrs back

You go for it.

What other horrific things have these nosy neighbours done apart from play in a pool with the kids you can't wait to become homeless?

Go out to work then. I WFH. One of them things if the neighbors are in. Not their fault. The kids aren't going to out playing all night.

MsOllie · 11/07/2022 18:52

@AllThingsServeTheBeam they're still outside on weekends and the rest of the time I'm at home so you know, when I want to open my windows or use my garden or eat my tea out there
Apologies that I can't go into work due to a medical condition but it is what it is

I'm not an arsehole parent. My kids don't shout and scream outside. But I don't mind when next doors do as I'm not a miserable cunt.

Neither can I. That's not my neighbours fault either. You live near people. Kids play, they make noise. You don't need to wish for them to be homeless because of it. Fuck sake. Ever likely the Tories are in power.

MsOllie · 11/07/2022 19:00

@AllThingsServeTheBeam I never said I wished they were homeless Confused
They don't even live there so even if they did get kicked out (which they wouldn't as it's a mortgage) they would still have a home
They're visiting relatives being babysat

God forbid I want to open my windows in this weather or use my own garden

Anotherdayanotherdisappointment · 11/07/2022 19:01

Have the other neighbours actually made complaints too or have they just nodded and agreed with you and said they have because they're slightly scared of how crazy you act about children playing and are kinda scared of what might happen if they disagree with you?

Sidnnancy · 11/07/2022 19:02

Ah here's the real reason...don't like us scummy renters eh?

Pocolovo · 11/07/2022 19:04

You are one nasty cunt op. Here's hoping you fail to keep your home and are homeless.

GoodVibesHere · 11/07/2022 19:09

OP I'm surprised at some of the replies you are getting! Screeching kids is very annoying. I mean it's fine for a short period I guess but who wants to listen to that all afternoon for god's sake.

Also, I do think SOME 'renters' might be more likely to not give a toss about their neighbours than they would if they owned the home. They know it's not a permanent home and that they can/will move on. So some are less likely to be considerate, and less likely to cultivate good relations with their neighbours.

Pocolovo · 11/07/2022 19:11

@Sidnnancy Sorry to disappoint you, but That’s not going to happen! We own our home. Paid off mortgage last year!

Spot on.! These people have been ‘moved’ on three times!
while we can’t wait for them to fuck off, I feel really sorry for the people they are going to be Inflicted on next!
