How many fans do you have in your bedroom?

We have one. A tall dyson purifying one that my husband bought a couple of years ago to help with his allergies. He doesn't actually use it for the 'fan' iyswim

It stays on his side of the bedroom but I had to have it on my side last night as I'm just too hot and it got me thinking .. do you 'share' a fan or have your own one each?

None. Sorry, that doesn't help you much!

Svara · 11/07/2022 08:30

None, I open the windows. I don't own a fan as I can't sleep with one on. The last time I used one was overseas when the nighttime minimum was 27 one night.

elenacampana · 11/07/2022 08:30

Just one, positioned so that it benefits us both.

Smidge001 · 11/07/2022 08:30

None here too!

Genericusername1234 · 11/07/2022 08:31

No fans here. My mum is Korean and believes very seriously in fan death.

ODFOx · 11/07/2022 08:31

We have a very unattractive massive one in the middle of the ceiling over the bed.
We use it for about 2 weeks a year. Last night we turned it up to level 2.

gamerchick · 11/07/2022 08:31

None. The noise would drive me batshit. Even so called quiet ones still have a hum.

Huh?

gogohmm · 11/07/2022 08:33

None, I open the windows and if very hot the balcony French doors the other side of the house to make a through draft (and pleases the cat and dog who like sleeping on the balcony)

Genericusername1234 · 11/07/2022 08:33

Most Koreans believe that having a fan on while you sleep will kill you. Even tho I don’t rationally think this is true, I still can’t bring myself to do it

Saisong · 11/07/2022 08:33

I have a massive Liverpool fan in mine, I agree they can be noisy - the snoring drives me bonkers.

😉

WouldJudasLeaveIt · 11/07/2022 08:34

It seems pointless writing none but I'm interested in "fan death" now 🤔

ItsDangerousInKingsmarkham · 11/07/2022 08:34

Just the one, but after 13 years of marriage he's more resigned to his fate than an active fan.

0.5 - we move it from bedroom to living room.

Thursday37 · 11/07/2022 08:37

None. We have a thatched cottage and it is never hot inside. I’ve been in normal pyjamas and duvet in this heatwave.

Genericusername1234 · 11/07/2022 08:34

Aah interesting, thank you

DockOTheBay · 11/07/2022 08:38

None, we have 2 in the loft but haven't felt the need to use them this year - our house doesn't get too hot.

FilePhoto · 11/07/2022 08:39

1 but I'm single so don't have to share it with anyone.

LivingLifeOnTheVeg · 11/07/2022 08:48

We have two in our bedroom, one pointing at the sofa, one at the bed. Two in the living room, one usually pointing at each dog. 😂 Lots of others around the house. Can’t hear the tv and we’re all shouting as we can’t hear anything over the noise. Still fucking boiling. 🥵

coffeecupsandfairylights · 11/07/2022 08:52

None.

DH did buy one but it's so noisy that it's impossible to get any sleep!

silentpool · 11/07/2022 08:55

When it's hot enough, one in the living room (which is left on for the cat at night) and two in the bedroom, going in different directions so there is never a break in the breeze, when one fan turns away.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 11/07/2022 08:55

We have a ceiling fan and a tower fan that is so efficient it's a tad chilly sometimes, it was from Screw fix. It's on my side of the bed, dh doesn't like a fan directed straight at him. We have a big one in the front room too.

BloodyHellKen · 11/07/2022 08:57

None, because I think they make an irritating noise. The only time I've seen a fan in a bedroom was in hospital when someone had a very high temperature so unless you were unwell I'm not sure why you have one in your bedroom.
