Anyone else dealing with upset teenagers after Technoblades

Technoblade was almost part of our family during Covid lockdowns, it was where my 2 teenagers hung out, online, with their peers, so important. They are both absolutely devastated, and to be honest I shed a few tears too, only just 23

We had an upset DD here too. How terribly sad for his family.

My kids are 12 and 10 who is this person?

My DS 11 found out this evening and he's been really upset. I havent told my son but technoblade has died from the same cancer that my brother had as a teen. Cancer, you can fuck off.

RIP Technoblade.My DD, 17, is very upset. She too was helped.through lockdown by him and his videos. A decent lad too. Doesn't help that we are surrounding by cancer and she doesn't even know yet.

My DC are definitely a bit rattled.

What on earth is Technoblades and why does it cost $70?

Didn't follow him personally, but I have a 20 year younger brother who loves Minecraft, so I've no doubt he probably followed him. As a mother, I am absolutely heartbroken for his family and wish to make clear I am thinking of them at this horrific time. The world is fucking cruel quite frankly.

I think your posts on this thread are ridiculous and disproportionate @ThePumpkinPatch. You have no idea who he was. You have no idea about the teenagers being discussed on this thread, some of whom have ASD. But here you are being a bit of a cunt.

Yes it's very sad that a 23yr old young man has passed away - not denying that. But these reactions are ridiculous and disproportionate

Ah of course, nobody has ever been upset about the death of someone famous before (and just because you've never heard of him doesn't mean he's wasn't well known and liked amongst certain a demographic).

i hadn’t heard of this young man despite my kids (teens) playing Minecraft but I have shed a few tears myself. So heartbreaking. His statement his dad read was heart wrenching. Just so sad.

DD(15) mentioned him when she came home from school but hasn't really said much. She will be upset because she followed him after starting Minecraft during lockdown and spent ages making her own cosplay outfit of his pig character. So very sad.

@ThePumpkinPatch please stop being so horrid. These kids idolised him, he got many teens through lockdown. For them it's like when John Lennon died. Youtubers are mega stars and teen idols, if you can't understand that just fuck off.

Dd15 was devastated. Definitely she felt she knew him, much more so than a movie or pop star.
