York restaurant recommendations

Hi.

I'm going for a little childfree break to York for a couple of days with DP and was looking for places to eat.

There are so many so I thought I would ask for your recommendations.

We like The Blue Barbakan (Polish).

Star in the city - amazing food wine and setting on the river very romantic

Don't do Star in the City, it's very over priced and the windows overlooking the river are huge, making the place too hot and you're blinded by sunshine

Another vote for La Vecchia Scuola.

Bari down the shambles is my favourite restaurant ever. Beautiful Italian food

Lucky you! Vietnamese restaurant Coto Kitchen - delicious curry. Polish Restaurant The Blue Barbakan - by the river, good food. Betty's tea room is great for breakfast.
