I got it wrong the first time.

Drive it out of the tunnel if it's safe to do so

MrsSkylerWhite · 29/06/2022 09:41

Drive it out of the tunnel?

BIWI · 29/06/2022 09:41

Drive it out of the tunnel if it is safe to do so

... I would have thought?

pilates · 29/06/2022 09:42

Drive it out of the tunnel

KylieCharlene · 29/06/2022 09:42

Drive it out of the tunnel if possible 😬

SheWoreYellow · 29/06/2022 09:42

How do you determine if it’s safe to drive a car that’s on fire?!

I can see you don’t want a car on fire on a tunnel but I’d worry about it exploding so I’d pull over straight away.

Sheilaroundthefountain · 29/06/2022 09:42

Drive it out? I don’t drive, but it makes sense (minimises risk to others)

Upsidedownpineapplecake · 29/06/2022 09:42

4th option due to way it is worded but probably do 2

LaurieFairyCake · 29/06/2022 09:43

Pull up, walk to an emergency phone

(Immediate risk to life)

Mammma91 · 29/06/2022 09:43

Drive it out the tunnel if it’s safe to do so. This one tripped me up too!

dudsville · 29/06/2022 09:43

I agree with drive it out of the tunnel. Presumably though it's something else?

BIWI · 29/06/2022 09:44

Deciding 'if it is safe to do so' would be difficult though, I think. But an explosion inside a tunnel must surely be worse than one outside the tunnel?

EaselArt · 29/06/2022 09:44

Pull up . All the other cars will do the same , you don’t want to drive a burning car through a tunnel and towards oncoming traffic, surely

SouthOfFrance · 29/06/2022 09:44

Presume the answer is D due to the way its worded, but really can't imagine driving a car that is on fire

Misstes · 29/06/2022 09:45

Pull up and walk to the emergency phone. Depends how close you are to the exit really!

IncompleteSenten · 29/06/2022 09:45

I would have said drive it out of the tunnel if safe but I'm assuming that's wrong because it's the obvious (to me) answer.
What's the right answer?

If it explodes in the tunnel then you have a major disaster with potentially a lot of people berried under concrete that might also be under water.

Cars don't explode like they do on films.

Also you can't really pull over in a tunnel.

Stopping blocks any traffic behind you.

Seeingadistance · 29/06/2022 09:48

Drive it out the tunnel …

SheilaWilde · 29/06/2022 09:48

Drive it out of the tunnel.

Cocobeau · 29/06/2022 09:48

I'd say Driving through if safe to do so, mainly because unless emergency services can get the tunnel shut off instantly, a fire in a tunnel has got potential to cause some serious disaster to a lot of people.

That said, if I was in this situation I'd ditch that thing a run like hell.

catandcoffee · 29/06/2022 09:49

Pull up and call emergency service.

There is no way I would be driving a car that was on fire.

No idea what the correct answer is though.

onlywhenidream · 29/06/2022 09:50

Any find any advice for carbon fire that suggests driving on is ever safe

Trynamakeadollar · 29/06/2022 09:50

It is driving it out of the tunnel. Which makes sense when you think about it as your not blocking traffic trying to escape . But my gut instinct would be to get myself and my children out of the car incase it explodes like a movie scene.

All advice for a car on fire says driving it isn't safe

flightofthesevenmillionbumblebees · 29/06/2022 09:53

I'd expect the correct answer to be drive out of the tunnel but there's no way I'd actually do that. If my car is on fire I am getting the f**k out of it as fast as humanly possible!!
