Redactle - THE HINTS THREAD

Given how difficult it is to offer hints for redactle, without giving it away/being too obvious, this is a specific thread for hints.

Doesn't mean that they should give the game away, but it just stops other players seeing the hint every time they access the main thread.

So from now on, just keep your stats and general comments on the main thread and come here for any hints!

It took me 91 guesses and I only got it after putting in individual numbers (don't bother, none are hits) and then individual letters (one of those got a hit, and it was actually helpful).
It's a general label to describe a time.

Oh I think that’s too big a hint. I’ve got it in 31 now and I was a dozen or so in when I read that.

Bizarre- it currently says 2,900 or so have solved it and the median is 1 guess (with 0% accuracy!) and average is 7.8.

I think it’s broken….

@ThatPosterIsSoRight the 1 guess 0% people just put in any word when the page was blank earlier.
Glad you got the answer quickly, but not everyone will (as evidenced by posters on the thread who still aren't there) and there are so few words a hook is needed to even start getting anywhere today.

I solved today's Redactle (#93) in 72 guesses with an accuracy of 5.56%. Played at www.redactle.com/

Terrible accuracy though Shock

@ThatPosterIsSoRight this is the hints thread! Not sure why you were reading it if you were only 12 guesses in? I think it's a bit unfair to complain. Redactle is much more difficult to give hints for, compared with semantle/cemantle, and what might be obvious to one poster might be too cryptic to someone else. Best not to read this thread until you're really stuck, I think.
