Given how difficult it is to offer hints for redactle, without giving it away/being too obvious, this is a specific thread for hints.

Doesn't mean that they should give the game away, but it just stops other players seeing the hint every time they access the main thread.

So from now on, just keep your stats and general comments on the main thread and come here for any hints!

It's a 3-syllable word, 9 letters long.

First syllable is something that produces sound through a speaker.

... I hope that's not too much of a giveaway, but I suspect not as this redactle is a pretty difficult one!

I'm still stuck on this one too. Got loads of the right words, but clearly not the important ones...

Bof, just managed to google and get it right.

I solved today's Redactle (#251) in 161 guesses with an accuracy of 36.02%.

Get a load of that accuracy - think this is a very hard one to get right as the word itself is used so much through the article!

Thank you - took me 163 guesses despite have an A level in the most relevant subject!!

Please can you tell me the answer to 251. It's the first time I've been unable to get it. Something to do with waves.

I can’t find todays first word, even with google. I’ve got the second and third. Cripes this is a hard one ! I’ve tried all of Google’s suggestions. Any clues? X

You've probably already got very similar words, think of what the whole article relates to... I had the same problem

That was a shit clue... so the study of all the things you've found.

Have you put in the singular of the third word yet? Looking at occurrences of that may point you in the right direction.

If something is really expensive you may describe it as [first word]
