Redactle - THE HINTS THREAD

Given how difficult it is to offer hints for redactle, without giving it away/being too obvious, this is a specific thread for hints.

Doesn't mean that they should give the game away, but it just stops other players seeing the hint every time they access the main thread.

So from now on, just keep your stats and general comments on the main thread and come here for any hints!

@Dreikanter it's nothing to do with agriculture. It's something that we last did in the UK in 2021. And before that in 2011.

The second word of the title is the general area - a disambiguation, as the first word can also be used with a different meaning

Actually, @beccahamlet I am nearly 100 guesses in and have absolutely no clue of the subject 😳 I have run out of subjects to guess!

Today’s is driving me nuts….I’ve got the second word and loads of the content but I just can’t figure out the first word. Are there any sites that actually tell you the answer?

If you're on Reddit, try r/Redactle.

It's a bit dependent on what other people have posted, so you may or may not get a straight answer. What I didn't realise if that if you click on the blanked out bits, they vanish, so you can choose how many hints you see

If you've got the second word which is disambiguation, and some of the content, try to think if there's a relevant type of thing that needs disambiguating.

Though it's maybe one not everyone will have heard of in this context.

It's a noun. I've heard it before to describe a large company
