Redactle - THE HINTS THREAD

Given how difficult it is to offer hints for redactle, without giving it away/being too obvious, this is a specific thread for hints.

Doesn't mean that they should give the game away, but it just stops other players seeing the hint every time they access the main thread.

So from now on, just keep your stats and general comments on the main thread and come here for any hints!

I got it by guessing what the genres might be of the things on the list.

Yes - I focussed on finding the 3 letter word in the second subtitle, which turned out to be helpful.

I got it in the end from the 6th heading, I had the name of the overarching set and searched that name for its constituent parts. I don't want to say who was the progenitor of the particular one I searched in

I went down a crazy route and got it from googling some information that was randomly selected later on. This one was hard!

I got it from my knowledge of obscure 80s pop bands :)

No, but that got me the first word, I was on a more creaturey track. I'll keep on it.

Got Pedantle. Can't even bear to read the article. I hated that one, none of the words made sense and it went far too technical right away. I had a page full of nonsense synonyms.

That clue was better than the pedantle itself, and way better than the redactle.

I don't think there'll be anyone looking for hints today!

I shouldn't think so from the redactle, let's see what the pedantle has in store though!

Got Redactle in 12 today. After a few guesses, turns out the most obvious answer was the right one.

I doubt if anyone will need a hint today but ...
