If you have - when have you stopped feeling young?

Out of curiosity.
When did you stop feeling young (if you ever stopped)? What age and why?

I recently turned 25 and don't think I'll feel carefree and young again. My life looks a lot different to what it used to just a couple of years ago, although I'm grateful for all the fun time I had.

What about you?

50 for me, you suddenly think wow where did the time go?! Also not caring what I look like anymore - just look old so sod it, kind of freeing!

I'm 32 and feel (and am!) young! Jesus - 25! At that age I was working and going out loads, living in a London flat share and had first met my husband. It was the height of my young care-free days.

For me it was having more responsibilities for the parents/in laws as they had poorer health, it was peers getting more seriously ill. It was noticing a shortness of breath and physically having to work a bit harder, a creaky knee…. Etc It was a realisation of how different my kids worlds were to mine & how you just would never really be able to relate. It was nights out becoming less appealing, craving an early bedtime. Its realising what you eat has an almost instant effect and having to be more health conscious. Your body just stops being forgiving of less good choices.

its also the chin jowls & random stray hairs!!!

i don’t think i really mind being older but accepting I am have been a big deal.

Yeah probably 45. I don’t feel old yet either, but I do feel middling now.

25? Hahaha. I think you'll find that is a bog standard modern "quarter-life crisis."
As Cher would say, "Schnap out of it!"

  1. My face is starting to fall. Crepe on neck and chest. Straw like hair.

But the good thing is that I care much less about what I look like now that I look pretty shabby!
