What are your plans for this Sunday? I gather it’s going to be rather windy across the UK today…!

I am currently enjoying a cup of coffee, after which I hope to do a quick morning yoga and then DH and I will pick the DC up from my lovely sister, who had them for a sleepover last night. Thereafter, the day is looking pretty empty, so will be looking to take inspiration from other peoples’ exciting plans!

No plans!
Having a coffee and then will decide.
Had a super busy day yesterday so aching today!!
Getting old!
probable an Aldi food shop, catch up with laundry, some cleaning and getting ready for the coming week.
A pottering kinda day I think. 😊

RadFad · 26/06/2022 07:47

Youngest has chicken pox and was up all night. Tv is on and we will try to survive the day 😅

GrandSlamFinalee · 26/06/2022 07:54

I’m just waiting to board a 10h flight to the US - 3 week work trip. I should be combining all my bags into one so there’s stuff to faff about with one the plane, but I gave up. I slept two hours last night and I really hope I can fall asleep on the plane… but a loud group of lively American teenagers are waiting near the same gate so that might be wishful thinking.

I have a very short connection in NY and I’m not too hopeful on catching the second flight. I’ll end up either running through the airport or missing it altogether and calling my insurance to arrange a hotel…

If I do make it on time, I’ll do a big weekly shop right after I land and kill some more hours that way so I can adjust to the time zone. Loooong day ahead…

AnnieAreYouOkHun · 26/06/2022 08:05

I'm off to the library at uni to catch up on some work then a gym class before going home to sort out the washing/school uniforms etc for the week.

Hotcuppatea · 26/06/2022 08:06

Going for a run with a friend and then shopping for a bag for my new job. Will cook Sunday dinner and bake some bread later.

Silkierabbit · 26/06/2022 08:11

No exciting plans here 🤣 I have my last chemotherapy tomorrow and DD did her last GCSE on Friday. Off to Cornwall for a week in a week thanks to a lovely cancer charity so planning rest of that. And DS with SN has no school at all atm so on at LA about that for the millionth time.

Charlavail · 26/06/2022 08:12

Currently laying in bed with the second cup of tea of the day with DS asleep next to me. Drunk far too much wine watching Macca last night.
Taking DD and DS swimming after lunch. My sister and niece are meeting us there. DS is only 14 weeks so I can get out after 20 minutes and have milky snuggles with him while we watch DH and DD.

LadyWithLapdog · 26/06/2022 08:15

Going back to sleep as I was up gone 1a.m. watching Paul McCartney at Glastonbury. He was amazing. Then some cleaning and a walk.

waitingpatientlyforspring · 26/06/2022 08:16

I think I'm taking my DD shopping but other than that, nothing planned. I had a busy day yesterday so looking forward to a chilled day today.

TheOpenDoor · 26/06/2022 08:18

Best of luck for your last session Silkie. I hope you have a wonderful time away. 🌻

I’ve just had breakfast, now drinking coffee. I’m at the gym at 10:30, quick supermarket shop and then back to work on a paper for the rest of the day as I need to finish it in a few days.

Oh, and sweeping the patio which is a daily job at the minute thanks to my glorious roses - beautiful but a PITA in the wind.

DaphneduM · 26/06/2022 08:19

It's my birthday today. My daughter will be coming over later to see me. Minus my grandson, sadly, as he has chickenpox. Apart from that a bit of gardening and just a nice relaxed day with a curry and g and t at the end of it. We went out for dinner across the road at the pub last night which was lovely. I love low key birthdays!!!! Just feel thankful that at the moment all's well with my friends and family (apart from chickenpox obviously!!!). Looking forward to lunch with an old friend tomorrow too.

bcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyza · 26/06/2022 08:19

Church then nothing was meant to be going on a trip but that was cancelled.

HelloSpringIveMissedYou · 26/06/2022 08:24

I love these threads.

Currently on 3rd load of washing, perfect drying day sunny and windy. Everyone is still in bed and I'm enjoying the silence.

Teenagers are working later and me and DH will be visiting elderly relatives and I've convinced him to take me out for dinner, teenagers get fed at work so win win.

pictish · 26/06/2022 08:36

Fil and his wife coming round later. We’ll have to tidy. I cba with it. The man has never warmed to me in all the years (25) and my days of trying to make a connection with him are long over. I used to try to please but now just stare back at him with the same disregard he’s always had for me. Should be fun.

Burnt0utMum · 26/06/2022 08:45

We've just got back from a car boot sale. Normally, we'd go a bit later than we did today but by then all the good stuff is gone so thought we'd try going early and it was definitely worth it! The kids got a couple of little toys and some books. I got Xmas wrapping paper 3 for £1, early for some but I always start early and couldn't resist that price. 2 lovely little heart wreaths and a large canvas picture for the wall. We also got a game of junior monopoly so we're going to play that shortly. Then, the rest of the day will have to be spent on chores. My fridge is currently off to see if that will sort it out as it stopped cooling the other day. I want to take this opportunity to clean it all while it's empty anyway. Will probably get an early night tonight, I've been cutting back on coffee with the aim to give it up and it ran out yesterday so today is the first full day without one and I'm tired already.

Bettyboop3 · 26/06/2022 08:51

Morning all, i babysat my granddaughter last night (16 months) we have walked the dog, currently enjoying breakfast then hoping for a morning nap! Then we are meeting my sister for lunch, dropping baby back off & going to the cinema. Then needing an early night tonight before back to work tomorrow.

Newjobformoremoney · 26/06/2022 08:59

We’re off to a local fair at 12 and then a birthday party at 2:30. Then I’m planning on cooking a roast but there might not be time.

This was our last free weekend until mid September, so yesterday we planning our trip to Thailand and finished off a last bits of a hen do I am organising that starts Thursday (which I might not be able to go to due to a visa delay!)

Fluffygreenslippers · 26/06/2022 09:01

Looking after my three week old. Will try to get out for a walk at some point.

Fitterbyfifty · 26/06/2022 09:01

Currently on holiday so it's another beach day! Must also do at least a bit of cleaning as the house is filling up with sand. 😂

MinnieMountain · 26/06/2022 09:02

DH has gone for a bike ride for a few hours.
I’m taking DS swimming once we’ve had breakfast. We’ll decide whether or not to go to the outside pool when we cycle past it.
Roast chicken for late lunch.

Ragwort · 26/06/2022 09:03

Hopefully not too much, had a stupidly busy last two days .. I usually pace myself but was unavoidably busy and out both Friday and Saturday nights (I very rarely go 'out' at night Grin).

Church, then collecting and sorting food at the Food Bank ... and then looking forward to a quiet afternoon pottering at home. DH has just retired but I hope he can do his own thing rather than assume I want to spend my free time with him Blush.

farmerboy · 26/06/2022 09:07

Eating granola and drinking coffee. DH has just put his cricket stuff on the line to dry and it won't take long as it's very breezy here. Going to the tip later, having cleared out the garage yesterday, Ive got a boot full of rusty paint cans and random rubbish that we have accumulated and I've only done half the garage. I've got a parcel to collect from Waitrose as I ordered lots of stuff from the JL sale which I'll try on this afternoon but most of it will probably be returned. Going to watch some of Glastonbury later with a prawn curry for dinner.

Ruralbliss · 26/06/2022 09:08

I have a 5000 word essay to start on a subject I don't like or understand for a Masters module. It's due in on the 11th and I have friends coming next weekend.
Need to unpack/move a few more boxes post house move so the spare room is usable for friends when they come and help my DD get packed for a D of E practice expedition this week.
My other DD itching to go somewhere and do something but the swimming lack we'd targeted has got algal bloom issues.

TheChosenTwo · 26/06/2022 09:11

Not sure of our plans yet, we had a busy day yesterday in and out and then we were all out last night and got back in at about midnight.
will probably take ds to the park again to have another practise on his bike and then dd wanted to go to Boots to buy a couple of things so I’ll take her.
Other than that, I’ll be packing as I’m away with work next week.

ShirleyJackson · 26/06/2022 09:12

Very little!

I was going to have a swim in the lake near us, but it’s too windy for me. I hate wind.

So it’s a lovely day of pottering. Might do some drawing, might do some writing…do a little gardening…yoga…just mooch.

I had to socialise on Friday and Saturday, so as a very depleted introvert, I’m basically putting myself on charge!
