LinkedIn accounts - are they a front to something else?

So one of my DH’s work colleagues follows and comments on lots of different LinkedIn accounts and we’re suspecting they’re a front to something else. We don’t care, just curious.

These profiles are all women, generally young, good looking, are all life coaches/life cheerleaders type “jobs” (🤮), they all post these ambiguous ‘love, live, laugh’ type posts, all followed and commented on by men. Nothing obviously smutty, but the photos are well produced and slightly suggestive.

Are they covertly promoting their OnlyFans profiles? It’s looks really suspicious but we’re very curious.

Now I am
It reigned too

If you Google their names what do you find?

Whyhasthishappened · 20/06/2022 20:37

I think I know what you mean. For a while I kept seeing a woman in my feed who played the piano in a very skimpy dress, arching suggestively over the keys as she pounded them. Weirdly it was a woman I followed (who was herself a management coach type) who was bringing the videos into my feed by adding short banal comments. All the comments were similar, none of them shed any light on what the heck piano lady was doing on LinkedIn. I wondered whether it was some weird algorithm-gaming thing, whereby people who wanted to boost their own profiles "won points" by commenting on the videos. Don't know quite how it would work, though.

I am on there!! Not dodgy ime!

summermornings · 20/06/2022 20:42

I read on here recently that it was the place where a lot of people conducting affairs/meet ups etc arrange their ‘business’

Stevie77 · 20/06/2022 20:48

I’ll get a screenshot to show you an example and I’ll try googling names. I’ll be back!

Waits with interest…

Ooooohhh

otherbookmarks · 20/06/2022 21:05

I wouldn't think so. Onlyfans and Admireme.vip models are very upfront on Social Media - after all, they want you to follow their links. However they may well be escorts. Also watching with interest.

Redcrayons · 20/06/2022 21:14

I hadn’t considered OF, but I did wonder how so many very young women were running their own life coaching businesses.
it’s worse than FB these days.

Cuck00soup · 20/06/2022 21:17

Well I do get some interesting messages from recruitment consultants now you come to mention it...

posting pics of women's Linked In accounts

Stevie77 · 20/06/2022 21:23

Good point about escorts, I didn’t think about that!

What on earth is that woman in white doing?

Luna42 · 20/06/2022 21:26

And why does she have a picture of Rick Astley on her wall?

Bellyups · 20/06/2022 21:28

Most men I know use LinkedIn like a hook up site, under a guise that it’s ‘work related’. Scummy pervs

Ontobetterthings · 20/06/2022 21:29

Are these pictures from linkedin??? Ive never seen pictures like that on mine. It's all boring conferences, meetings etc.

WetWilly · 20/06/2022 21:33

“feeling smitten with life” ffs

my tag would be - fucking tired of endlessly working

Ontobetterthings · 20/06/2022 21:34

😂😂

Yodaisawally · 20/06/2022 21:41

What on earth are you searching to find shy like that? My LinkedIn is purely professional, my Facebook is locked down to actual friends, ditto insta. You don't need to see stuff like that it runs off the algorithms of what you like and interact with.

Yodaisawally · 20/06/2022 21:42

*shite

Redcrayons · 20/06/2022 21:43

maybe Not quite so scantily clad as the first one, but I’ve definitely seen similar kind of thing. I thought it might be some kind of MLM thing. I’ll pay more attention next time I see one.

Cherryblossoms85 · 20/06/2022 21:44

Yes, sadly this is a thing, and they are exactly what you think. I was at work drinks once, and my husband came along. Some utter creep pulled him to one side and proudly showed him his collection of "1000 hot chicks who are all up for it". Utterly weird

I’m not. What I said was that a connection of my DH is liking/commenting on posts by these
women and his likes/comments appear on my DH’s LinkedIn feed.

We’re 🤔

A former colleague tried sexting me via LinkedIn. Grim.
