Which wedding dress..?! HELP!

Hello,

So. I'm torn between these two dresses.
One is my dream dress - sorely, A line dress with gorgeous appliqué but it's quite busty.. which I'm struggling to get over. I'm not one to flaunt my chest area whatsoever so find it quite revealing.

The other is a classic satin gown, button back details and very covered up. Sadly don't have a photo of this.

For context, I'm marrying in a church.

Please help? Is the A line sparkly too revealing? 🤦🏼‍♀️

Thank you in advance

oh I’m sorry, I opened the thread ages ago and didn’t refresh it before posting.

Your dress (dress 1 with all the photos!) is gorgeous, you look beautiful in it and should go for it!! I think after the alterations you mention it will be fantastic, you were drawn to it and you’ve put in effort to look great on it. Good for you.

Thank you everyone, I really do appreciate all of your help.

Thinking along the lines of this for the V plunge. Lace to help hide the cleavage? I don't wear ANY low cut tops at the moment in daily life so maybe that's why this feels ultra strange 🤦🏼‍♀️😣🤣

You look gorgeous in both. The waist detail on the second 'cuts the dress in half' which isn't as flattering as the lengthening effect of dress 1. Dress 1 looks very pretty with the veil too.

flourned · 20/06/2022 20:46

I thought the 2nd (unavailable one) also looked to cut me in 1/2 a bit too 🤔 it's how it stops right under the bust with no further pattern.

Deffo the first one. You look absolutely stunning! And I'm from a church, I think it's fine

MadKittenWoman · 20/06/2022 20:47

Dress A is a bit décolleté. Why can’t we see dress B?

EfEfEf · 20/06/2022 20:48

@flourned I watch this wedding show (Say yes to the dress I think) where they alter the dresses in the bridal boutique to suit the bride. Could that not be an option. Put some sheer fabric in between the boobs to cover up a bit?
I think the dress is stunning and you should go for it, if it's your dream dress. But I'm not one to show off my cleavage and would feel extremely uncomfortable and self conscious wearing something so low-cut.

flourned · 20/06/2022 20:49

@MadKittenWoman ive shown some of dress 2, but its not available to purchase. The store called me a few hours ago to advise 😢

OK, just saw dress B and A is better. It’s more flattering.

flourned · 20/06/2022 20:50

@EfEfEf yes I watch that tv programme too! I love it ☺️ I have popped a photo down below somewhere of an idea I've had in regards to how to best cover the chest area. X

I think you lovely in both but it feels like neither is “the one”. Do you have time to look at other options? The V neck suits you but the one on dress A is a bit too deep.

EfEfEf · 20/06/2022 20:54

@flourned if there's a will, there's a way 🤗 getting some lace to cover up is a good idea. Just looked up your option B dress. Not as nice as your favourite. Hope you can figure something out. And congratulations ❤️

flourned · 20/06/2022 20:54

I do have a little bit of time, but really not much at all. The wedding is this coming September 😣

Do you love either of the dresses? That's the only thing that matters. If not, keep looking.

flourned · 20/06/2022 21:25

I loved the 1st one as soon as I put it on. But the more I looked at the photos overnight I panicked about the low chest 😟

If you're swaying towards the second now, and it's out of stock, would this be something you might like:

You're not comfortable in the dress, that's all that matters! Sorry but you need to keep looking.

Congratulations on your amazing weight loss. Also your veil is beautiful.

thenightsky · 20/06/2022 22:08

Too much boob on show for church.

flourned · 20/06/2022 22:12

I think I'm going to stick to my guns and stay with dress 1. I loved it the moment I set eyes on it. I know my DP will love it too. I'm going to look into some options regarding how to make it more modest ☺️

Kittykat93 · 20/06/2022 22:16

Dress 1 is nice but I'd definitely have a lace panel or something to make the chest area less exposed, it would be far too revealing for me to wear and I don't mind showing my cleavage!

mrsfrancinemeowington · 20/06/2022 22:25

It's not too booby at all. You're allowed to have cleavage! It just looks like it's not fitted properly around the bust area.

SQLserved · 20/06/2022 22:33

I love the first dress! It really suits you and looks gorgeous!

Congratulation!

Minimalme · 20/06/2022 22:42

First dress - just get a dress maker to sew in a lacy panel to obscure your cleavage a little.

Dress b is a bit boxy on you imo.

You look better than the model does in dress a, which is some going op!

Gooseysgirl · 20/06/2022 23:51

First one is gorgeous - I honestly think it will be fab once fitted properly! As PP have said, it's too big on top at the moment which is why it's looking very 'booby'. You could try a modesty panel but actually I think if it's altered skilfully it might well be fine without.
