It's been a long week. 🍷

Ooh lovely. On my roof terrace with a glass of very chilled white wine watching the pigeons who have turned next door's leaking water tank into a sex pond.

I’m enjoying a post BBQ glass of fizz in the garden.

There’s a blackbird eating a slug three feet from me. I’m trying not to look.

The heat seems to have made the pigeons a bit frisky 😂

I really want to drink wine, but hayfever is wiping me out today & just making me feel too poorly to drink. Cant even sit in my beautiful garden lest it tries to kill me.

So I've had a cool shower, a cold can of coke and am lying on the sofa in shorts and a vest.

Was in the garden till 4ish, chilling with some cold drinks and a good book.
Twatty NSN’s kids then arrived home from school shouting and roaring and the peace quickly ended.
Extended family out there now behaving like dickheads as per!
This is possibly the only thing I dislike about summer. Loud fuckwits just become louder as the weather gets warmer. The only saving grace is that they’ll be fucking off to their holiday home for the summer!
I’m inside now with dh drinking very cold wine and flicking through Netflix.

Gin & ice-cold tonic here. Wonderful warm evening.

do you not know what “fizzy” means; have you never heard of Prosecco, cava etc; or are you being mumsnetty and snobby because you think “fizzy” sounds tacky and are making a point that you would say “sparkling?”

I should be but was working in Liverpool all week and have been trying to get home to Berkhamsted since 5pm. Should have arrived at 7ish with a G&T poured by 7.01ish.

However our decrepit and underfunded railways have had a literal meltdown today so I am part way through my journey, sitting at Birmingham International Station awaiting a train supposedly arriving at 9.15. Have resorted to a Gin In A Tin.

Wine is disgusting, and the weather is too cold and windy to be outside now. Also in Yorkshire. Went to a kids' party earlier and there was a definite different in temperature between going in and coming out. It's looked like it's threatening to piss it down for the last few hours. Yay for 'summer'.

Oh chill out FFS. Go find a 'we hate summer thread' to piss all over.

I am in my garden - Northwest

I've had a double whammy of rose in the pub garden with my friend this afternoon then a lovely g & t made by dh in the garden!
Ready for my bed now though- I'm such a lightweight.

I've had 2 lovely extra cold large whites while the kids played in the pool.
It's 50/50 between falling asleep on the sofa and having a nice bottle of cider

I dug out our camping insulated and lidded stemless wine glasses. Real game changer!!!
