Just curious what everyone is up to today

Today I'm heading to the cinema with the DC to watch jurassic World dominion. We are all very excited, especially DD (8) as the jurassic park/world films are her favourites. She's been up since 4am "Mummy is it time to go yet?"

But first I have to get the kids to tidy their rooms as they are a tip.

So what are your plans for the day?

Today is my last day in isolation for radioactive iodine. So like the last 6 days not leaving my mums spare room! I'm going insane. I can't leave the room at all as it's got an en suite. 1 day more!! (Sung like in Les Mis

I am visiting somewhere I want to work in preparation for submitting the application.
Then I'm studying for some up coming exams and hopefully will have the time and energy to do a workout

@Hillrunning that sounds like a busy day. Fingers crossed the work place is a good fit for you and I hope the studying goes well and pays off for you. Don't beat yourself up if you don't get a workout in, you're busy enough as it is, and studying can be mentally taxing. Make sure you find the time to relax too.

Hopefully going back to bed for a bit once DH gets up as DD was up at 4.50 and it's my turn to be up with her 😑Then popping round some friends to pick up some baby stuff they're storing, for a friend whose about to have her first and is visiting tomorrow. At some point one of us will have to visit the laundromat as the washing machine is broken and the pile is MASSIVE. Plus the usual playground, toddler wrangling etc. Highlight will be watching the penultimate episode of Breaking Bad after bedtime.

Trying to find an emergency dentist- accidentally knocked an 18 year old temporary cap off my front tooth last night, so now looking like something out of a horror show and have a whole day of school stuff to go to. Might start wearing a mask again!

I'm off to the hairdressers. I'm a week overdue and looking forward to getting rid of the go faster stripe on top of my head 😂

We're going to a wildlife park as a treat as it's my first weekend off in ages. It's going to be wet and windy today so I'm not sure we'll see much but apparently the cafe is nice.

We're going strawberry picking at the local pick your own fruit farm this morning then this afternoon will be house/garden tidying

My dc are going to their dads for the weekend and tonight I’m going to see The Killers with my dp, I am so looking forward to it!

We're heading to the beach, I can't wait to have a swim. Then back home for a bbq in the garden! We might end up with a few friends joining us.

Currently lying in our VW camper listening to my DP and DDog snoring! I’ll get them up soon as we’re halfway to the Lake District and going to climb ‘The Old Man of Coniston’ (I think that’s what it’s called!) this afternoon.

Having a few days at the lakes before heading back to London. Will be a lovely weekend!

Today and tomorrow is writing reports and recording data from the assessments I've done in work this week. I'm a teacher. Hope it's sunny next weekend when my workload shouldn't be as much.

Ooh I am going to yoga 9-10 as my downtime.

I have some housework type stuff to do and then I'm going for dinner & a Harry Styles concert 🥰

Trying to keep the children occupied while staying away from them as I have covid 🤦‍♀️ no idea how this is going to work but single parent and they don't want it apparently.

Maybe with the weather I'll sit in the garden and shout orders while reading.

Some lovely weekend plans going on tho.. I'll live through you all

Watching The Killers at old Trafford later.
Public transport is going to be a nightmare as there are lots of events on today but I'm looking forward to it

Not really sure yet maybe I will get some inspiration from this thread!

I had two tax exams this week so I'm looking forward to a chilled weekend after locking myself away in my office studying for the past 6 weeks!

We have booked to go to a new American smokehouse place for tea which is getting good reviews so looking forward to that, but before that we will probably go for a long walk this morning, go food shopping and I might have an afternoon nap just because I can! (And I may have had a few too many Proseccos last night so feeling v tired this morning ).

If the weather is ok tomorrow I would like to go out for the day somewhere but no idea where yet.

Cinema with DS, then some activities on at the library. Takeaway for tea.

Very jealous of those going to see The Killers! And Harry Styles actually, I would never have thought he would be my cup of tea but I have actually downloaded his new album and I'm enjoying listening to it.

Currently drinking black coffee working up the energy to go and do a food shop, then I’ll catch up on cleaning.

I have an exam on Monday so I’ll do some revision later.

Absolutely nothing. I've struggled to get back into the swing of work after having annual leave at half term and feel exhausted. DD is doing GCSEs and won't want to leave her room anyway.

I will however get to about 4pm and beat myself up for wasting the day and feel guilty for not giving DC a day out. I've got a real thing about always having to do something.
