Just curious what everyone is up to today

Today I'm heading to the cinema with the DC to watch jurassic World dominion. We are all very excited, especially DD (8) as the jurassic park/world films are her favourites. She's been up since 4am "Mummy is it time to go yet?" Grin

But first I have to get the kids to tidy their rooms as they are a tip.

So what are your plans for the day?

Eating a bacon sandwich then pottering. I may feed the rabbits or poss let DH do it when he pops home in between lessons. DD13 has gone for a walk. Working 12 til 4. At some point I must blitz the bathroom as it’s way overdue! Plus I spotted cobwebs earlier so will tackle them. If I can be bothered I’ll pop to the butchers before work & get diced lamb for a Rogan Josh (courtesy of Pataks). Might catch up with Greys Anatomy tonight. DH & I had started binge watching right from the beginning but it tailed off for some reason. I love it! Will miss BGT.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 11/06/2022 08:13

DH has taken the kids to swimming and dancing and they won't be back till lunchtime. I'm going to scrape myself off the couch and clean the kitchen before they get back.

This afternoon we're going to attach the pump and filter to the pool, and I'm going to edge a flowerbed around a lilac tree and plant some lavender and cineraria in it.

We're going to watch Jurassic Park this evening; we want to work our way through all of them before seeing Dominion for DD's birthday in a couple of weeks.

Tomorrow I'm going to cut the grass.

A lot of this is dependant on the weather cooperating; there's hail forecast for just south of here, so who knows?

Crunchymum · 11/06/2022 08:19

DP took older two to see Dominion yesterday evening (they couldn't wait until today!). It has recieved rave reviews. My 9yo, who adores anything dinosaur and has seen all 6 films, declared it the "best film ever".

Today we have swimming lessons / homework / washing / food shopping. We'll swing by the local summer fayre this afternoon and then probably on for a canal walk.

Pizza, doughballs, salad and dips for dinner (PIzza Express was on special offer 😋).

Want to try and get the ironing done as we have a party tomorrow morning and then off to inlaws to see cousins who are visiting from Ireland.

OldTinHat · 11/06/2022 08:32

I saw Jurassic Park yesterday, I really enjoyed it!

I've got a house full of visitors arriving on Thursday so I'm doing all of those jobs I've let go today before embarking on a huge spring clean tomorrow. Not fun!

Vampirethriller · 11/06/2022 08:36

It's my weekend off this week, DD3 woke me up at half 5 and we've taken the dog for a walk and had breakfast.
I need to do all the things I didn't do in the week and then we're going to the allotment this afternoon to pick the gooseberries.

Pennyhill22 · 11/06/2022 08:41

Going to watch Ireland vs Scotland today.

Northbynorthbreast · 11/06/2022 08:41

In Italy atm potty training- we are fine for naked pops but put his clothes on and he forgets! So braving a walk to the castle through the food market and meadows with lots of changes of clothes and a potty in tow!

withiceplease · 11/06/2022 08:43

A long countryside walk with DH. DC doing their own stuff. Possibly a pub lunch

KatnissNeverdone · 11/06/2022 08:51

Making slightly hungover DH a homemade mcd's breakfast (he virtually never drinks so thought I'd be nice) then getting DD2 ready for a dance competition. She's got 2 dances but they're both this afternoon so we don't have to rush off.

Need to fit a run with the dog in at some point this evening.

bloodywhitecat · 11/06/2022 08:55

Having a play date with my fosterling and their prospective adopters. Then we will come home and chill.

CoodleMoodle · 11/06/2022 09:01

Currently having a lazy breakfast. I'm dressed and so are the kids, but DH is still in his dressing gown.

DD8 has her swimming lesson this afternoon. After that DS3 wants to take the Frisbee and ball to the field near our house. I'm dreading it, but only because of the hayfever! (I'll take an antihistamine but then I'll be dopey and useless...)

DD also has a bit of homework to do which, unfortunately, means it's the end of the world.

suckingonchillidogs · 11/06/2022 09:07

Going for a walk to a local beauty spot this morning with a stop for coffee. Then I'm attempting to plaster a wall in the bedroom this afternoon. I started it last week and it's a bit rough looking (to say the least!) so will try to rectify that, failing which I'll be looking for a professional instead Confused

PeggyLeggy · 11/06/2022 09:12

DS Is with his dad, I’m in bed with a coffee (and DP). Im going into town to meet my mum and sister for a coffee then DP and I are driving up to a friends house and we’re all going to watch Ed Sheeran. Agree with PP Manchester public transport will be horrific today, just hoping we don’t miss the last train home!

LadyOfTheCanyon · 11/06/2022 09:20

Just having breakfast before getting ready to go to a wedding. It'll be a long day in heels and I'll have a hangover tomorrow but hopefully it'll be worth it!

Silverbirch2 · 11/06/2022 09:31

Off to town to get dc trainers as they both seem to have suddenly grown! Will get fathers day bits too. The debating whether playground or straight home- loads to house stuff to do- planning on some baking too.

HerRoyalHappiness · 11/06/2022 09:40

@daffodilandtulip sometimes doing nothing is the best thing to do.
@SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows your day sounds busy! I stopped watching greys too. Must catch up with it
@UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername hopefully the weather stays nice for you
@Crunchymum glad to hear it has good reviews! But ironing?! Who has time for that? Grin
@OldTinHat I hate having visitors simply because I can't be doing with the cleaning and tidying beforehand
@Vampirethriller gooseberry picking sounds good. What plans do you have with them?
@Pennyhill22 who are you cheering for?
@Northbynorthbreast oh good luck with the potty training, I certainly don't miss those days! Very jealous that you're in Italy!

@KatnissNeverdone good luck to your DD. I'm sure she'll smash it.
@bloodywhitecat I hope it goes well and they adore fosterling as much as you do.

@suckingonchillidogs good luck with the plastering. You're braver than me!
@PeggyLeggy my DD loves Ed sheeran, she'd be very jealous.
@LadyOfTheCanyon oh a wedding! How lovely. Sneak a pair of flats in your handbag, then when everyone's drunk swap your shoes. No one will care then

We're all still in pjs. I've cleaned the kitchen and put a wash on.

Going round in a bit to my pals to drop off my godsons birthday card.

Then taking DD1 to meet her bf for a game of crazy golf so will do some shopping or cinema with DD2.

DH is preparing to start 3 nights of night shift.

It's wet and windy here, so not exactly inspiring for doing gardening or being out and about.

AtLeastThreeDrinks · 11/06/2022 11:48

I love these threads! We went out for breakfast in the sunshine this morning and I’m currently having a cuppa in bed while the baby naps. We’ll al go swimming once he’s awake, then to a local garden for coffee and cake. There was talk of squeezing in the pub for dinner before bedtime, but we’ve got wine open at home so I think we’ll cook here instead. I’ll get some work down once DS is down for the night, probably with Love Island (don’t judge me, mindless tele) on for company!

AceofPentacles · 11/06/2022 12:38

Going to look at a house to rent as we are being evicted 😡
Then tonight DINOSAURS 🦕

Pennyhill22 · 11/06/2022 12:43

@HerRoyalHappiness, Ireland, come on you boys in green 🇮🇪

Redkatagain · 11/06/2022 12:56

Cooking the roast ( we have it on Saturday in this house , so food shopping, chores and the "main cook of the weekend" all get done on one day).

Luredbyapomegranate · 11/06/2022 13:00

Late joining, after crazy early flight. I am determined to to some tidying up and not lie on the sofa like a stuck seal. So this PM am going to go through the random breeding bags in my bedroom and divide into chuck / oxfam / put away, take a coupe of bags to oxfam and go for a walk.

Also take myself out for lunch, and shave my bloody legs.
