Just wondering what everyone is up to?

As this weekend looks pretty bleak as I don't have many friends... 😣

Same. Like Christmas isn't it? A proper kick in the teeth when you have absolutely fucking nobody x

easyday · 02/06/2022 15:17

I WAS going to visit my son (18, struggling a bit with the transition to adulthood), but turns out he's working all weekend.
So I'm staying home. There's a couple parties - one in the park which seems mainly aimed at families with little kids and another street party which is one street over so I won't know them.
My daughter is revising for her A level mocks next week so she doesn't want to do much.
Plenty of stuff to do in the garden and I've just had wardrobes built in my room so I need to move back in there - but meanwhile im sitting here half reading a magazine half on Mumsnet! I did write a short article for a magazine this morning, walked the dogs and picked up a couple things from the shops and did laundry so not a total wasted day.

IpanemaBelle · 02/06/2022 15:21

I’m in Amsterdam doing tourist stuff and eating too much Gouda. Thankfully hired some bikes for a bit of cycling but it’s going to be 25c here tomorrow.

MonkeyPuddle · 02/06/2022 15:21

Well so far I’ve don’t the big shop, Asda was reminiscent of how it was just before lockdown, people everywhere buying everything.
we’ve been in the garden, all had a nap.
DP has taken DD to the park and I’m going to have a shower before I head off to work tonight.

Ihatethinkingofusernamez · 02/06/2022 15:25

I am trying to enjoy reading my book in the garden but my neighbour has decided that now is a great time to start jetwashing his patio...

imnottoofussed · 02/06/2022 15:29

No plans at all. Dd is studying. Today I've dusted, hoovered, stripped the bed and done three wash loads and spent the rest of the time on a sun lounger reading and listening to music. I need to do some exercise later once it cools down.

No idea what tomorrow will bring as it's meant to be colder so may watch films or read some more.

SunflowerGardens · 02/06/2022 15:33

This is a very boring bank holiday so far. It's raining so me and the kids are sitting inside watching movies.

Kool4katz · 02/06/2022 15:43

Normal day today and tomorrow so doing normal stuff like collecting DC from school and supervising homework.

Bank holiday on Monday here and we plan to visit friends for lunch.

Doughnuts68 · 02/06/2022 16:04

It’s sunny here

ToffeeNotCoffee · 02/06/2022 16:07

Scoped out the house for what redecorating needs to be done.
Put washing on the line. My husband put the next load on.
We walked 2kms into town to the Greek Bakery for lunch. Delicious. Got some Baklava to have with a cup of tea at home.
Walked the 2km home. Purchased some milk from the corner shop.
My husband and I sat on the sofa with a cup of tea and had some of the baklava we bought home with us.
My husband switched the t.v. on to watch the cricket.
He didn't enjoy the watching the game so is currently outside cutting the grass.
I'm going to the shop to get food for a bbq we will have for 2 at the weekend.

vodkaredbullgirl · 02/06/2022 16:07

No plans other than sleeping after a night shift, worked last night, working tonight and tomorrow night. Next door are having a bbq and I can't have back door open.

User487216 · 02/06/2022 16:08

DH is away volunteering this weekend at a sport event so I have bought some nice food from M&S and will either sit in the garden or watch a box set depends on the weather, I will probably watch bits of the Jubilee like the concert and I watched trooping of the colour this morning, that's plenty of jubilee for me.

namechangeanonymous · 02/06/2022 16:09

Went into town this morning for breakfast and to do a couple of returns husband has been doing the garden I've watched some of trooping the colour and had a relaxing afternoon. Were binging staircase now.

dizzygirl1 · 02/06/2022 16:11

Kids have gone to their dads house so I'm alone for ir. 🤨 it's rubbish

Itwasgoodwhileitlasted · 02/06/2022 16:15

Locked in bedroom with dog and enormously bad hayfever.

Just had a look on Facebook and saw pics of friend at jubilee event her boss made her go to. She doesn't want to be there, but is all smiles lol

heidihigh · 02/06/2022 16:19

DP is working all weekend and I currently have covid so precisely nothing. Weather is lovely so could have had a bbq in the garden but as I can't taste anything (Envy) it seems fairly pointless! What a great Bank Holiday!

gottaloveascamhun · 02/06/2022 16:35

Got back from holiday with a nasty virus so just starting to feel better. I've hoovered, done some washing and have been lying on a sunlounger for most of the day. DH has done the big shop and taken kids to park. Theme park tomorrow, bbq Saturday, chill day Sunday

Simonjt · 02/06/2022 16:38

A very lazy day for us, we’ve been in the garden/woods of our little holiday home most of the day. I made a little hide with my son and he has been playing in that most of the day. Our daughter had her first little dip in a paddling pool, despite it being warm water she was not impressed. My husbands taken her for a walk before she goes down for a nap.

Crocsandshocks · 02/06/2022 16:38

Great, was hoping for one of these threads. It started off energetically, I did a 3 mile jog but on the way back I tripped over the dog. Grazed my knee. So now I'm in bed having a rest. We will go out to a local beacon event later.

Beachview · 02/06/2022 16:43

Sorry that you feel like that OP. Being lonely is one of the worse things. What do you like doing? I like cross stitching (check out caterpillar cross stitch website) and reading , can you order a good cross stitch kit or book online to enjoy this weekend, or get Prime on a free trial for 30 days and watch a good film? I am recovering from an operation and also feel fed up but have a book and sitting in the sun and trying to make the best of it xx

ShirleyJackson · 02/06/2022 16:47

Recovering from a brilliant weekend in London. My legs —and bank account— are aching!

We left as the crowds were starting to gather…

Overthebow · 02/06/2022 16:52

Went to a friends party today with DC. In laws are coming tomorrow for the weekend so we’ll probably do a bbq and go to a country park.

Jas5mum · 02/06/2022 16:56

Well its my birthday tomorrow so we're supposed to be going to a jubilee teddy bears picnic but my mum wants to go to a different event and my OH has come back from work calling me all the names under the sun so I don't feel like going anywhere with anyone now.
My birthday always gets ruined. On my 30th he made me cry in disneyland paris.
I'm feeling pretty down. Got no money to buy or do anything. 14yo said she doesn't wanna come back to my house(she's at her grandparents) and 5&7yo never behave wherever you take them.

Think I'll just stay in bed. Would have gone to a hotel alone if my credit card worked but capital 1 are useless!

Performing in a newly written piece which tells the story behind the image of the Queen on the stamp. the story has close connections to our choir.

FreezyFreezy · 02/06/2022 17:09

I've been in my sister's garden all afternoon drinking tea and eating cake with her & some of her friends.

I'm off to the seaside tomorrow with my dc, sister and my mum.
