I'm stuck at work, listening to a colleague drone on and on, lecturing someone on war stories. Thankfully it's not directed at me but it's been going on for 1/2 an hour literally him wittering on! I think the person he's talking to has said yeah, oh right and I see on repeat to appear interested.......only 4hrs until I can go home!

My dog crunching her kibble
The dishwasher doing its thing
Birds, sparrows mostly, twittering
The washing machine in the next room
The light over the cooker which has a really annoying high pitched buzz
Myself tapping at the laptop keys

yesthatisdrizzle · 01/06/2022 17:12

My tinnitus hissing.

Some starlings.

One of my neighbours putting something in their bin.

A red kite circling above and calling - I recognise their kew...we.we.wew as we get a lot of them round here.

Basilbrushgotfat · 01/06/2022 17:15

Birds.
The cat having another wash.

RedorangeyellowBLACK · 01/06/2022 17:24

Next door neighbours baby crying which then sets their dog off barking. That’s accompanied by the builders across the road, building yet more huge fuck off houses that no one in our area can afford to buy. All day they have been digging concrete and chucking it into empty skips, been doing this for days from 8am, loud enough to wake the fucking dead. Never any peace in my house anymore.

Irridescantshimmmer · 01/06/2022 17:42

I can hear Ludovico Einaudi piano music from my echo dot at the same time as loud banging from the 'nutter' in the flat below as well as doors slamming at an adjacent house.

I live on the top floor of a flat so sound carries.

I am not bothered by anynof it though because the sun is shining and birds are singing😁

cottagegardenflower · 01/06/2022 18:30

Danse macabre on Alexa. Just in a whim. Stopping it now as I'm bored with it.

Seeingadistance · 01/06/2022 19:05

Birds singing and a motorbike in the distance.

itsthesoundofthepolice · 01/06/2022 19:40

I've spent the day listening to lawn mowers and children screeching, the joys in good weather. Off to work shortly, wonder that top will be covered tonight 😄

Tinnitus- I'm both ears. Aargh! I'm about to plug in the white noise machine.

And - although no tummy rumbling, I'm now hungry from reading about other people's so I'm off for a snack.... 😋

ChickenRat · 02/06/2022 04:44

DD crying. She's 12 hours old now Smile

Bells3032 · 02/06/2022 04:58

A cicophony of farting. My husband on my left and my 5 month old on my right

Armenia's winning song from Junior Eurovision, Qami Qami.

It would have won the actual Eurovision if it had been entered.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 02/06/2022 05:26

Birds singing. Lots of birds ❤️ And very faintly in the distance I can hear a train.

TargusEasting · 02/06/2022 05:43

The dawn chorus. I can pick out great tits, a blackbird, swallows and a wren.

A male pheasant doing his twin-note, “I’m here”, call.

The distant drone of twin engines pulling a small plane higher into the sky before it starts to drop down towards Guernsey (according to Flight Radar 24).

Then silence.

Oatsamazing · 02/06/2022 06:12

I can hear my 19mo DD eating her cereal, it's bliss as she's been screaming on and off since she got up at 4.30.

recklessgran · 02/06/2022 06:20

Sitting room clock ticking. Fridge freezer clicking on and off. Birdsong, tweeting and wood pigeon cooing, Sleeping dog grunting and sighing..

elp30 · 02/06/2022 06:33

It's 12:30am where I am and I can hear the ceiling fan making a very light clicking noise.
I can also hear one of my cats grooming himself because he's right by my head.
I need to sleep 😴

Rabidturnip · 02/06/2022 06:42

6.41am here. Dog snoring softly, washing machine going, birds outside.

OxanaVorontsova · 02/06/2022 06:45

Wood pigeons cooing and rooks shouting, distant traffic

Deathraystare · 02/06/2022 16:06

Oh dear, The patient in the 136 has just kicked off, Before that I just heard the television that is in the room (surprised it hasn't been broken yet). People on there way out slamming the heavy (fire) doors, The fan in our office. Me typing!

The alarm alerting staff to the fact that the patient in 136 has kicked off.

Sometimes it is bedlam (literally!) with patients kicking off , panic alarms going off and fire alarms, staff yelling goodbye to one another, doors slamming etc etc

vodkaredbullgirl · 02/06/2022 16:11

Next doors music and my dog whinning because he want to go out.

xxxGirlCrushxxx · 02/06/2022 16:13

the dog snoring!

Strawberriesaregreat · 02/06/2022 16:16

The boom boom of crappy music from neighbours one side and screaming kids from the other side. I wish they would all just fuck off!

Strawberriesaregreat · 02/06/2022 16:18

My cats just thrown up a furball. Thanks for that...
