I am severely overweight and have been for a few years now since youngest DC was born. Keep yo-yo dieting, and losing a bit then regaining. I have started getting ads for Saxenda injections. Has anyone tried them? Did they work? Would really appreciate any feedback. Thank you

Really intrigued by this so will go back and read the full thread. I only want to lose about a stone but the hunger I get is a killer so anything to suppress that is good.

Same - a stone to lose but medically I'd not qualify for this injection and it does seem like something great for those who really need it - life saving in fact.

I was one of those who had brilliant metabolism when young, and could eat literally anything. Then middle age metabolism hit and it's began creeping up.
I'm a week in on the paul mckenna gastric band hypnosis, and that's helped me with cravings and portions immensely. I do eat pretty well normally but giving in to my cravings was my downfall - and all this week I've not bothered with the crisps sitting literally metres from my desk. There's no effort. I'm eating less and not snacking in between. But I'm not obsessing over food any more and I'm not getting miserable obsessing and then caving in to my cravings then getting upset at failing. I get hungry shortly before meals but only just before and can hang on easily until it's time to dish up.

Like I say, I'm only a week in at the moment so it's early days but I did successfully use his smoking hypnosis and gave those up effortlessly 16 years ago and never went back on them so maybe knowing it worked before is helping me this time around

Is it ok to use Saxenda or Ozempic if you're hypothyroid, taking thyroxine to correct it?

I've been on saxenda 5 weeks, lost just over a stone.
It's changing my eating habits, as I'm getting used to smaller portions.
