Actually, a couple of us were running the numbers on a 'one shag a year with someone moderately repulsive, for your annual salary' thought experiment the other day.

General consensus was positive.

Exactly….it’s so insulting when people say this given that many people don’t make one million pounds over the whole of their working life.

I would consider it. I’m single so don’t have to consider anybody else but I am celibate by choice, I don’t have any positive sexual experiences and have some trauma relating to being raped. I feel like it would be quite hard for me to put myself through it and I would worry the cash would feel like dirty money or that if I found the sex traumatic every time I used the money in the future I would be reminded of that. I think it could potentially bring more difficulty into my life than the money would solve.

If there was some way to absolutely guarantee my personal safety and adherence to pre-agreed boundaries/limits, absolutely. In reality I'm not sure how that could be achieved, so I most likely wouldn't be brave enough, even for a million.

I'll take it back. I'm assuming in this scenario is not "would you have sex with someone who is not your partner for £££" but some more profound dilemma? Like would you have sex witha corpse, molest a child etc.

Cause if the scenario is "would you have sex with a normal dude once for financial security" then I would. And would be ok with partner doing the same. But I really can't say that I would do in in any scenario if it meat hurting someone.
