Meaningless is the wrong word. It had meaning in the sense of two adults safely and absolutely enjoying each other’s bodies during the short time we all have on the planet, but without great declarations of love or any false belief in a shared future. However I do appreciate that I am lucky to have never been in the position where I felt that sex was my only valuable asset and I was that desperate.
