So incessantly noisy here!!! Am assuming It's loads of starlings we have nesting close by but the noise is so shrill and unpleasant.

Anyone with bird knowledge who can educate me? Why so noisy and for how much longer? And don't even get me started on the crap over cars/windows....

I once stayed up in Scotland with my friend and could not sleep -actually waiting for some noise!!

Try Elgin in summer, the birds all get up at about 3am.

I like the birdsong.

We have so many round here - magpies, sparrows, robins (there seem fewer of those this year), starlings, crows, blackbirds, jackdaws. And of course, the ubiquitous wood pigeons. I'm sure there are many others too.

Yes, they can be noisy, but it isn't a noise that bothers me. It may be more intense at the moment because it is nesting season and many recent hatchlings are now demanding to be fed.

Birdsong is one of the nicest most relaxing sounds going. I could happily listen to that and the waves crashing against the shore all day long

We have lots of birds in our garden, especially starlings atm. Had to put out double the amount of bird food today. Me and DH love watching them all.

I recorded a cuckoo on my walk yesterday so I can listen to it later in the cold dull winter. Middle of a wood, no traffic noise, just small birds and a very loud cuckoo.

It's not bird song though!!! If it were bird song I would happily enjoy it.

It's a frantic harsh sound, not even squawking, just a cacophony That's why I thought it could be the sparrows mating or their babies.
I've just googled it and it's fledgling starling noise, judging from our garden there must be lots of them out there their poor parents

Starling babies are noisy but it won't be for long.

Starling parents are sods in the garden, they nip off all the new growth they can reach on the lavender and carry it off for their nests.
