Good morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I've just made a coffee & put the washer on. Everyone else is still sleeping so it's very peaceful atm. I've got the kitchen window open so I can hear the birds, and I imagine the neighbour's dc will be out to play shortly.

I've not planned to do much today -there's the usual washing, ironing, hoovering etc. to be done. & both bathrooms could do with cleaning, but that won't take long.

Dd1 has drama coursework to carry on with & revision for a science paper they're doing in class next week (she's y10). She wants to print 2019's GCSE Spanish writing (I think) and practise that too -they did one the other day & she was 2 marks off an 8 so now she wants to get that 8! I think we'll be wandering to Asda for more paper!

Dd2 has her usual maths homework, some Science & English too. She'll probably come & sit at the table, with me, to do them.

I want to get the few sunflower plants off the windowsil into a pot, outside; trim my basil plant, and maybe sow some cucumber seeds too.

I've a little bit of prep for Rainbows, Brownies and Guides but not much -someone else is leading this week. I might not even need my trolley on Tuesday!

Once I've done those few bits I'm going to paint some more story props for school - I'm running out of resources though so these will likely be the last ones for a while 🤷‍♀️

Possibly southern fried chicken burgers for tea, with salad and wedges 😋 Then this evening I'll carry on with one of my crochet projects (I have three on the go 🙈).

What about all of you? 🙂

Change of plan, currently pinned under a toddler with a temperature of 39.6°

Late to the thread but I had a very lazy morning as this is my day off. Long shift tomorrow.

Beautiful day here too so had a bbq and kids playing with cousins. Everyone just relaxing. It’s been a long tough week.

I own and run a cafe bar in a busy seaside town and have been to work today. My feet are killing me but we had some bloody lovely customers today so I have a really enjoyable day despite my poor feet!

Well; I didn't get any of the plants sorted, & couldn't be arsed to clean the bathrooms 🤷‍♀️ but I did paint next week's props...they just need sealing now.

I started building up the red on top of my fairy toadstool cable reel too.

@lucysmam oh wow those are great!! 🤩

I love these threads, are we continuing it today too? We're off to a good start here - toddler DS had a lie in until 630 am (instead of 6 am). We've got leftover chip shop chips for sandwiches later for me and DH (DS will have something healthier). Nothing planned yet except for the usual chores and getting ready for the week ahead, but I like hearing what others are up to ☺️

I had so many plans yesterday but only got half of them done, as DS wanted to go to the cinema.

I figured that was more important and we had a lovely time, he's struggling at the moment so it was much needed.

Today is filling the garden recycling bin, ironing and mopping!

DD stayed up to watch Eurovision with me for the first time last night but went to bed before the scores so we've just rewatched those. She's off to her dads today and I'm catching up on some OU study, I've got an assignment in next week that I haven't started yet and then need to deal with a tower of ironing.
