Please help me translate my toddler!

They want to watch something they call “Gish”. It’s not fish (so not finding nemo, etc). It’ll either be something on Disney+, Netflix or BBC iPlayer, but I’m at a loss about what it is! All the ones I have suggested so far are not it, so any help would be great, thanks!

Can you ask if there’s anything in the house/toy box which is what they want? I get the struggle my 4 YO DS has a speech disorder and it’s really difficult to understand and when this happens he grabs what it is he’s trying to say (god bless him!)

I’ll try that later as they’ve been asking to watch it for a couple of days but I’m completely stumped! I’ll also get their older siblings to try and figure it out after school!

I am so fully invested in this as it took me about 2 weeks to work out my DD2 was asking for hickory dickory dock by doing the marathon sign for it that I didn’t know! I thought she was just itching her armpit 😝

Just hope they understand what you mean haha, 2s certainly a difficult age! I’ve just had this with DS (off school with the bug), he kept asking to watch ‘ewan’, I was asking him to describe what’s in the programme, he said ‘Ewan, his mummy, his daddy’ didn’t have a clue! So I said see if we have a toy of what you want, lo and behold he pulled out a Ryan figure from Ryan’s world!

Not octonauts. I thought maybe Go Jetters, they got very excited when they saw it, BUT then they said Gish no go Jetters.

I don’t think they’ve seen it, but maybe their siblings had it on one day. I’ll give it a go, but they’re definitely getting bored of me asking 😄

Could be something with a wish in it? True and the rainbow kingdom have a wishing tree that’s talked about a lot. Or could be Misha and the bear.

The Go Jetters bad guy is called Glitch, if they got excited by Go Jetters do they specifically want to see Glitch rather than the heroes? (Who are probably the main image on iPlayer)

So, I showed them the picture of Glitch, and they said Gish, then no, then yes!! So I’ve put it on, and they seem very happy, especially when Glitch appears! Finally!!

I think you’re right, glitch isn’t shown on the pictures on iPlayer, which might be why they didn’t say yes when I asked the first time.

Ah this reminded me of my dd16 when she was younger. She was frightened about the decoration. No further explanation would be given. I don’t know how I worked it out but it was injection. Wasn’t even having an injection or had one for a long time.

she followed that with her annoyance randomly at not being allowed poodiddles. Skittles 😂
