This is what I’ve heard a couple of times
and I’m wondering what your general thought are in this as only five years away from that age now

No

Northernsoullover · 08/05/2022 21:54

No.

bloodywhitecat · 08/05/2022 21:54

No, definitely not.

spotcheck · 08/05/2022 21:55

Yes

Nitgel · 08/05/2022 21:55

Not at all, I care less about random people and it's liberating.

DodgyKneesCyril · 08/05/2022 21:56

Yes sometimes. And patronised into being expected to keep quiet with the "karen" stupidity.

Katyaadlerscoat · 08/05/2022 21:56

Yes and I love it.

Egghead68 · 08/05/2022 21:57

Yes

LovelyYellowLabrador · 08/05/2022 21:59

I hate all that Karen shit

It's made absolutely no difference to me as no one ever noticed me anyway! I'm happy in myself so I don't really care.

SoManyTshirts · 08/05/2022 22:00

No, definitely not. Attitude is everything,

Mischance · 08/05/2022 22:01

No - but then I never felt like that about others either when I was younger, so it is not part of my mind set.

NellesVilla · 08/05/2022 22:12

You’re, not your. Couldn’t resist!

dudsville · 08/05/2022 22:15

No, but I've seen it mentioned a lot on here. None of my friends comment on having experienced this either.

DramaAlpaca · 08/05/2022 22:16

No

MuchuseasaChocolateTeapot · 08/05/2022 22:17

Yep and love it!

FourChimneys · 08/05/2022 22:18

No.

underneaththeash · 08/05/2022 22:18

Not at all

bellinisurge · 08/05/2022 22:19

It's quite funny being underestimated, to be honest.

glukoo · 08/05/2022 22:21

I don't get attention from men as I did when I was younger. I quite like it , can dance enjoy myself. No one sees me.

notangelinajolie · 08/05/2022 22:22

Yes, but I like it. I only really noticed when I went on a night out with my DD and it was fairly obvious all eyes were on her.
I feel liberated.

Wailywailywaily · 08/05/2022 22:24

Not in my work and social life. In fact I think I’m stronger in these aspects because I care far less about other peoples opinions of me.
I’m no longer bothered by men and this I rather like. I now have standards and boundaries that I really should have had in my 20’s. It’s never too late to sort these things out.

Bearsan · 08/05/2022 22:25

No.
What I do wish would disappear is all this ageist bollocks on MN.

Fidodidit · 08/05/2022 22:26

No, I feel like I’ve grown into myself.

Fidodidit · 08/05/2022 22:27

I think it might depend on how important validation from others is to you.
