I haven't yet, it appears from comments on local FB groups our council are paying it around 10 days after your April direct debit and mine didn't go out til the 28th so, accounting for the bank holiday, I'm thinking maybe end of next week?

Massive logistical problem for the government to land on councils I think. There's a dedicated phone line here to call and ask, the most weary sounding man on the other end.

Nope. LB of Havering. Initial communications said by end of April but latest council newsletter said by end of May.

@XenoBitch have you checked your council website? Ours have a form you need to complete if you don't pay by DD.

Nope. I set up but direct debit this year thinking that would speed it up but no. I also filled out the online form on my council website just in case. Still nothing. And my first instalment was on April 15th. It said the payment would go in a week after that. I've allowed for Easter and bank holiday and still nothing. Bet it takes months. My council is rubbish at the best of times.

Councils didn’t get much notice and had to get new software etc installed to pay out. It’s a big project and some will do better than others. Our council have started paying out to DD payers and are sending letters out to those who don’t this month with a link to apply online.
