Nothing planned here, it's half term for DC and DS (Y8) has end of year exams the following week, so we'll be spending it arguing with him and trying to coax him to do some revision.

DreamingOfTowels · 27/04/2022 18:22

Free. Where I live gets very busy on holidays and with tourists so I suspect I will do my usual weekend car boot sale mooch, have a take away, read a lot. Maybe have a bbq

Pyri · 27/04/2022 18:23

Booked, we will be away in Italy having made the most of the extra holiday days. Cannot wait!

lanbro · 27/04/2022 18:25

I'm going to a wedding on the Friday, will probably need to work Sunday and Monday though

Antarcticant · 27/04/2022 18:27

Depends on the weather.

rookiemere · 27/04/2022 18:36

I volunteered through work to help at the London jubilee celebrations but sadly didn't get picked.
DH and I decided to do away for a couple of nights but as most of the decent hotels and cottages seemed to be booked up, we're going camping in the Lake District as didn't want to spend a fortune on poor accommodation.

JackieCollinshasnoauthority · 27/04/2022 18:39

Holiday. Celebrate.

TheChosenTwo · 27/04/2022 18:40

One of my dc turns 18 over the bank holiday weekend, they didn’t want to go away due to being in the middle of exams so we who be home. Having a house party on the actual day and going next door to a bbq the day after.
but other than that, it’s my half term anyway so I’d be off, the extra bank holiday won’t be felt for me!

Favouritefruits · 27/04/2022 19:03

I get back from holiday on the Thursday so I’ll be busy doing umpteen loads of washing!

emmathedilemma · 27/04/2022 19:32

Booked, got family coming to visit so will mostly be doing tourist stuff.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 27/04/2022 19:34

Booked. Every day.

Flippydip · 27/04/2022 19:35

Thanks to your post I now know the date of the bank holidays! I thought it was in May. So nope, no plans.

We'll see what the weather is doing and then go from there nearer the time.

ssd · 27/04/2022 19:36

DrBrennerFan · 27/04/2022 19:36

Avoiding the tv especially the concert Stranger Things s4 morning noon and night if not watching will be on twitter discussing.

twopoes · 27/04/2022 19:39

Avoiding any TV coverage/street parties/bunting.

We might go camping somewhere really basic where we can be reassured someone won't turn up with a fucking Winnebago and a flat screen. 😄

CuriousCatfish · 27/04/2022 19:41

No plans apart from trying to avoid anything to do with Queenie.

Isseywith3witchycats · 27/04/2022 19:41

Going to a motorbike rally weekend which will be camping bands and lots of bikers

FleeceNavidadfromtheSheep · 27/04/2022 19:45

Will be in London on the Thursday, booked concert tickets without being aware of the date.
Middle of exams, so DC will be revising.
If weather's nice we'll pop down to the beach before the hordes arrive or after they've gone home.

balalake · 27/04/2022 19:45

Will be going to the local beacon lighting on the evening of 2 June, nothing else decided upon.

Ruralbliss · 27/04/2022 19:49

Taking a UK city break. Have rented a dog friendly apartment and getting the train. Can't wait.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 27/04/2022 19:53

DH is taking DD to EMF camp, it's like Glastonbury for geeks. I'm staying home because DS has to revise for his exams.

I've booked to go to a gig with a friend on one of the nights, and my parents are coming to visit.

Stomacharmeleon · 27/04/2022 19:53

My youngest ds's 18th birthday!

HumourReplacementTherapy · 27/04/2022 19:58

We're going to be in London 😫
Booked tickets ages ago for the theatre. I've not really looked into what's going on in London

AuntieMarys · 27/04/2022 19:59

Decorating and drinking. Will not be watching or doing anything Jubilee related.

bellac11 · 27/04/2022 20:01
