I was paid today too. Public sector. Next increment on the pay scale and £20 better off. Was pleased to see a positive rise even if it is a small one.

My adult DS gets paid weekly and was very disappointed and pissed off last night. He works hard for peanuts, like tonnes of people on here. It’s all too fucking much.

Feel sorry for my 23 year old ds too. Works so hard, covers for everyone else and literally works most days with rarely a day off although sometimes only does a few hours a day. All for peanuts. No change of ever getting a place of his own any time soon either. I think young people have it particularly tough to be honest.

I was paid yesterday & have had a 4% pay rise, despite not expecting it. I’m £50 up on last month!

Well I'll be switching to paying for disney with tesco vouchers so I've saved a little money by clicking here.

My pay will increase very slightly due to the NI rise as I earn not much. I didn't actually realise until last week it wasn't being applied across the board. Must pay more attention

I think it's only on the 6 months deal for another couple of days (I haven't actually got round to switching yet...) so worth having a look soon as I think it's normally only for 3 months.

Op your posts are vague
I'm on nmw.
I'm expecting this next pay to have nmw increase but more ni . Then in July less ni but potentially tax and ni to pay because the rise of nmw may Just push me into the paying limit.

??Laughing at the situation... I am part time, on minimum wage, therefore, ironically my pay packet is bigger this month, as I don't earn enough to be paying much in the way of NI. (The struggle is real for many of us.)
