What's with the new layout??

Totally new layout on my Mumsnet page this morning, and I had to sign in. Now it all looks completely different. Anyone else?

It’s changed several times since I joined. This is pissing me off. I have to keep signing in. I click on a post and it just takes me to the topic. I like mumsnet. I normally ‘pop in’ several times through the day, a bit like Facebook. If it remains as is, I probably won’t.

That's because you were trying to login under the register part, you need to click to login.

I wonder if there is a poll, I find it really jarring- particularly the nesting quotes bit, the font, the whiteness…. Awful

Another thing, previously if you were in a thread and someone posted after you, you could click their post. Now you have to go to the whole thread. Ball ache.

Don't like it, have to keep logging in and manage preferences etc etc every.single.time

I like it, looks cleaner....but Safari doesn't like it. Won't let me post and have had to swap to Firefox.

I think they're going for a Reddit style layout..nested quotes and all. Looks messy and not very user-friendly.

Sorry, MN, it has been a fun 20 years, but this "improvement" is diabolical and I will not bother any more.

What I don't get is why they creamery didn't have checklist of everything the old system did and then tick off whether it had been replicated/replaced/actually fucking worked in the new.

My bug bear is you can't see last poster on a thread, only a number, so no way of knowing if the thread has been added to. Did MN sit down and think, let's get rid of that, no-one uses it.

It's like they let the work experience kid loose.

On the minus side I've had to log in three times today and there are loads of adverts even though I'm a Premium member. I expect it will sort itself out.

Fucking hate it. I liked that you could type a page number in a box above the post. I don’t like seeing a list of page numbers now - very cluttered.
