I was so tired today. It felt like a hangover but I wasn't drinking. Anybody know what that's about.

I went to bed late-ish last night. It was after midnight. I wanted to go to bed from 11pm but I was busy doing jobs so I stayed up. I slept well last night. The morning was a battle. I was fighting with the snooze button. I was then rushing out the door. All I wanted to do was die.

My watch says my deep sleep is approx. 34%. When I was sick a few weeks ago I was getting about 8% of deep sleep a night.

My diet is good. It's filled with loads of eggs and vegetables and cheese and water and some supplements. I noticed a difference in energy when I changed my diet for the better a few years ago.

Me too. I think it’s usually when fighting a little virus.

Afonavon · 19/04/2022 18:51

Covid? Being knackered was my #1 symptom.

eleanorwish · 19/04/2022 18:55

That happens to me a few times over the last few years, I've put it down to getting older (54)

Cherrysoup · 19/04/2022 18:57

Very possibly lacking vitamin b12. That can make you feel wiped out. Get a good A-Z supplement.

eleanorwish · 19/04/2022 18:57

I forgot to say, that happens when I get significantly less sleep than I need, not just a little less than normal.

Greatoutdoors · 19/04/2022 19:00

I’ve just diagnosed myself with ‘motherhood’. Could it be that? Hormones don’t help.

SummersBreeze · 19/04/2022 19:03

I'm due my period in 2 days would it be that?

I don't think it's covid. I don't have a close contact and I'm not doing major mixing in public.

I will try the vitamin B12

"So tired I feel like I'm dying" was my main pregnancy symptom - could it be that?

carefullycourageous · 19/04/2022 19:07

I'm not sure it is healthy to overthink being tired for one day?

Or is this regular?

If one day it won't be b12.

TheChippendenSpook · 19/04/2022 19:16

I've pondered this before. I think part of the yucky feeling you get with hangovers is actually tiredness.

So when you're really tired it feels like a hangover.

Social distancing from an impotence partner will make sure 100% that it's not a pregnancy. In fact there would be more chances of me having covid.

Could definitely be period. I always get exhausted a few days before

Specialisedunit · 19/04/2022 19:19

I feel like that most of the time because I have insomnia so I never have enough sleep and haven’t for over 30 years. I just assumed everyone who hadn’t had enough sleep the night before felt the same way!

MarilynValentine · 19/04/2022 19:20

Are you depressed? Can make people exhausted.

stressedscot · 19/04/2022 19:22

Do you take a vit d supplement? When I'm low the tired / stiff feeling is a telltale sign.

This feeling was here last week with me too

I think days like this just happen to everyone....don't they? It's not always easy to pin a reason on it

SummersBreeze · 19/04/2022 19:24

I take a range of supplements. Vit D is one of them.

Dehydration? Mixed with tiredness perhaps.

ohCARP · 19/04/2022 19:26

I felt like that when I was anaemic

Buildingthefuture · 19/04/2022 19:26

Could be covid. My first and only real symptom was really extreme tiredness.

MichonnesBBF · 19/04/2022 19:28

This happened to me, so unnaturally tired and head a bit foggy, slept solidly on the couch once I got in from work (5pm) was woken up by my husband to eat something..went straight to bed and again slept solidly until my alarm went off the next morning (no shower, wash nothing as I didn't have the energy due to being so so tired)
I had covid.
I know we are all sick of illnesses being associated with covid, but honestly I would still take a test (if you want to know) to rule it out.

Lavapalaver · 19/04/2022 19:32

Are you depressed op or is wanting to die just a turn of phrase? Just that you said it twice .
You say you have no close contacts and you’re not mixing much? Are you lonely?
