I was watching The Sound of Music with DC yesterday, and Captain Von Trapp caught my attention and distracted me he’s very good looking

In my defence, it’s the first time I’ve seen the film the whole way through, so have only just noticed.

Anyway, it got me thinking that Captain VT (aka Christopher Plummer) looks kind of similar to Daniel Craig. Anyone with me?

Jenson Button & Jos Buttler. They literally look like twins. Both are Somerset lads, so they may actually be related somehow.

Oh my god this has been bugging me for years!

I've always found a similarity between:

a) Niall Horan from One Direction and
b) Allen Leech (the guy who plays Tom Branson the chauffeur from Downton Abbey)

Then, looking also strangely kind of similarish but a bit different are:

c) Shane Filan from Westlife and
d) Jim Kerr from Simple Minds (80s band - for the youngsters)

The strange thing is - they're all Irish (or Scottish in the case of Jim Kerr, but with Irish ancestry).

I'm wondering if it's some kind of Irish gene / vibe..... (You could almost put a young Sean Hughes in this category...)

What clinches it for me is an Irish guy I used to work with who somehow seemed to look like ALL four of them (but as he's not famous, not helpful for my example....).

Please someone tell me I'm not imagining this?

(And I'm not fetishising the Irish promise, I'm a quarter Irish myself!)
