I really had a difficult time persuading then 6 year old Dd to not call the cat gingernuts (as he was the same colour as the biscuit) Can you imagine the horror of calling him in at night!

With have a ginger girl that visits us(at least I think it's a girl can't actually get close as she runs back out had to chip her to our cat flap as she was following our cats in and stressing when she couldn't get out) we call her gingerbella (it started as Cinderella)

We have had 4 over the years: aslan (longhaired and huge!), cointreau, rufus, & lucy (after the redhead lucille ball).

My GinGin is also known by BastardCat and CuntyCat depending on audience and level of annoyance from the 17 year old cat screeching at us all night and biting my head at 4am.

We have a marmalade cat who is called Paddington but the strange animal answers to 'puppy'.
