Mine was 'Free' by Deniece Williams, just now. Classic from 1977.

@Progress2019

Lido Shuffle by Boz Scaggs from a playlist I made of uplifting songs.
My favorite album of all time
MrsLargeEmbodied · 18/04/2022 14:01

the last song from the 1970s that i listened to intentionally sought out, was Say you Dont Mind, Colin Blunstone

BestIsWest · 18/04/2022 16:25

I love Lido shuffle. A reminder to go and listen to more Boz Scaggs.

AuntieDolly · 18/04/2022 16:43

AC/DC - Highway to Hell
I didn't think anyone else had heard of The Babys!

Pyewhacket · 18/04/2022 16:48

Dreaming, Blondie.

WildRosie · 18/04/2022 16:54

I've heard of The Babys. John Waite (Missing You) was their singer.

Bye Bye Baby was number one for the whole of April in 1975.

'If There is Something' by Roxy Music (live version). Love it! Lasts forever and still isn't long enough.

BertieBotts · 18/04/2022 21:25

Wild World by Cat Stevens, although it was a cover, does that count?

I don't listen to much 70s music.

37GoingUnder · 18/04/2022 21:35

Bohemian Rhapsody on the Radio X Best of British countdown that was on today. Bo Rhap has won before, number 3 this year behind an Oasis one and Sam Fender, all great tunes to be fair Smile

StorminaBcup · 18/04/2022 22:25

Song for Guy - Elton John (the kids wanted to hear the proper version of ‘I’m still standing’ after watching Sing! and this is the next one on the CD).

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 19/04/2022 06:11

Not sure @WildRosie but didn’t Lyndsey sue them when he got kicked out? I believe Stevie said “it’s me or him”.

Rubyupbeat · 19/04/2022 10:05

Sweet - Ballroom blitz,

WildRosie · 19/04/2022 10:11

I don't know, Moose, but it sounds likely, given FM's penchant for drama!
