What are your top five skills?

I'm wanting to have a bit of a clear out. Before beginning I saw "Get Organised with the Home Edit" on Netflex and decided to watch it for inspiration.

Their first assignment was with Reece Witherspoon. She was very impressed and remarked on how amazing the font was on the signs. One of the organisers thanked her and said it was her handwriting which they had turned into a font. RW said 'you have great handwriting'. The organiser said 'I know, thank you, it's one of my top five skills'. I've decided since I didn't have 50 pairs of designer shoes or enough clothes to split into their various couture designers, I would give up watching and do it my way.

So I would be interested in knowing what you think are your top five skills?

I need to have a think if I have any. Grin

No, please don't be sad. I bet you have amazing skills, it's just you are so used to doing them, that you no longer see them as skills.

Great skills on here! I wish I could always find something decent on TV, blend into any social setting and work at lightning speed.

Mine are:

  1. Excellent general knowledge of world cultures. Languages, customs, ancient civilisations, etc. - you want me on your pub quiz team for any trivia on this stuff.
  1. I make the best pasta dishes (ok, best according to my tastes, but I can’t say that for any other food).
  1. Can improvise cheesy old-school Hollywood film music in my head.
  1. I’m always challenging my own views and looking for the strongest argument against them (including asking myself as I type this if I’m being truly honest in saying I do this all the time). Seems like this is relatively rare so I’m claiming it as a special skill!
  1. Very good at planning holidays. Also skilled at going on them.
Thatsplentyjack · 09/04/2022 20:59

I am amazing at changing nappies, including massive shitty ones.

I can do most household tasks so fast anyone would think I was on speed.

I'm really good at packing without forgetting anything, but on the flip side I'm great at going shopping and forgetting half the things I went to get.

That's about it. I have no actual desirable or useful skills at all.
