Hermes' rebrand as Evri

Have they just rebranded without changing a thing?

As far as I'm aware they changed couriers areas, pay rates and parcel numbers, let go long time couriers and moving to more temp ones. All bad.

Yirk · 09/04/2022 14:34

Yup...I think they are hoping we will think they are improving things...sadly not so far.

Echobelly · 09/04/2022 14:36

I didn't realise it was them - I noted La Redoute were using them and assumed it was a replacement. So not an improvement, then.

Shock

Would that be an increase in parcel numbers, decrease in pay then?

Their imagine was so bad they've gone for a rebrand, but not actually improved anything about their service.

My old Hermes delivery man was fab. Everything arrived on time and he left stuff in the porch for us. I ordered a few things recently from Next, who’ve now gone to Evri and everything has been late so far. We’ve had parcels left in strange places with no note saying where and one was thrown over the side gate! I had to ring Next to find out where one parcel had been left because I couldn’t find it. I want my old Hermes delivery man back - he was great.

Tittyfilarious · 09/04/2022 15:31

My Hermes courier has been replaced , she delivered in my area for years and was reliable ,she's gone and been replaced by a grumpy bloke 😞

Tittyfilarious · 09/04/2022 15:32

I should add no issues with it now being a man , just that he's very grumpy bordering on rude

Billandben444 · 09/04/2022 15:57

Our Hermes/Evri bloke enters the block of flats and throws everything up on to the first landing and then legs it. He submits a photo of somebody else's parcel on somebody else's front lawn - we're a 4-storey block with no lawn. We've all complained about him but he's still got his job so I'm amazed there are others worse than him! You have to trust that neighbours carry stuff up as they go and eventually it might reach your landing.

BFPDec21 · 09/04/2022 16:42

I always found if you ordered frequently and got to know them a bit then couriers can be really accommodating. Thankfully I've not had much delivered by Hermes in the last couple of years (mainly because I stopped buying from places that used them) but I can imagine if the bulk of couriers are new with their Evri rebrand and not paid greatly then they aren't necessarily going to be that careful. Kind of like postie temps at Christmas.

What's the point of rebranding if you're still going to be as shit?

toastfiend · 09/04/2022 16:45

Our courier doesn't seem to have changed but ever since they've changed name their payment system only works to take a payment around 1 time in 30, so it's virtually impossible to book a delivery with them. Extremely irritating.

LadyCatStark · 09/04/2022 16:47

Oh no, my dog will be writing a strongly worded letter if they’ve replaced his favourite courier who brings him doggy treats!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/04/2022 16:51

I don't know if we have the same delivery driver that we had with Hermes , she was brillliant .

I've only had Hermes/Evri with QVC and they always have a notoriously long ( 5-7 working days ) delivery and very ££ .
Think £2.95 for a pair of earrings in a plastic bag or £3.95 for anything bigger ;ike a pair of trousers or a handbag ( ridiculous in the days of next day free P&P offered by most other places )
I have had two orders within 36 hours , ordered 9pm ( Todays Special Value preview ) I thought it was just because they were ready to go ?

TabithaTittlemouse · 09/04/2022 16:54

Same shit, different name. They supposedly tried to deliver three parcels on Thursday. Dh was in and heard nothing.
Tracking said that they tried to deliver and they would try again the next working day (Friday), no sign of them.
Checked tracking again last night and the part about trying to deliver and trying again had disappeared and was instead replaced with parcels being at our local depot.

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 09/04/2022 17:06

Never had a problem with our Hermes person. First Evri delivery was a different person and half the order has been lost in transit.

MinchieMoo · 09/04/2022 17:14

Try sending a parcel with them now! But first look at the prohibited items list and then good luck finding anything you are actually ALLOWED to post. Used to use them a lot without too much hassle. Ditched them now because of the prohibitions.

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 09/04/2022 17:20

The trouble is, you don’t always know who the courier is when ordering, until it’s too late. We need a list of companies using Evri, so we know who to avoid.

Sexnotgender · 09/04/2022 17:25

Evri 🙄 there’s Evri chance you’re not getting your parcel.

musicalfrog · 09/04/2022 17:28

I'm new to them and had been OK until sending multiple parcels and only getting one tracking number. I can only track one of them now and I'm worried.

Thats what happened to me this week. Item out for delivery, couldn't deliver, back at depot, will deliver tomorrow. That happened FOUR consecutive days before the parcel arrived.
Hermes' rebrand as Evri
TabithaTittlemouse · 09/04/2022 17:31

@Redglitter I’m really pissed off about two of the parcels because I need them for Monday.

Whatwouldscullydo · 09/04/2022 17:59

Maybe they got sick.of being known as herpes?

I hope my hermes lady is Still working fir them..I only ever have problems of she's not delivering.

ComDummings · 09/04/2022 18:04

I hope my Hermes lady won’t be replaced, she’s been doing it for years and she’s so lovely.

ShinyPikachu · 09/04/2022 18:06

I thought it was a new company when I got an email saying my parcel was with Evri the other day. I googled it and saw that it was just a Hermes rebrand. Thankfully our amazing local courier is still with them. He's always on time and lovely and doesn't leave things in stupid places if we aren't in so we're incredibly lucky.

SpacePotato · 09/04/2022 18:18

We've had the same Hermes guy for the last 5 years and the lady that did the other side of the street as they helped each other out. My parcels were always delivered around 10.30 on his route. Nothing ever missing and very polite. I always took things in for neighbours for him.

Both now goneSad

New random bloke practically threw a parcel on my step as I opened the door then turned round and carried on his phone conversation without even acknowledging me.
