Have they just rebranded without changing a thing?

We've still got our brilliant Hermes courier, who always includes our dog in the delivery photos and makes a massive fuss of him. Will be gutted if he goes - he's lovely and very accomodating.

I suspect they were trying to shake off the reputation associated with Hermes.

But Hermes, as a name for a courier, is something I like. I get the origins.

Evri? I always read too fast and see Evil each time. I'm not sure it was the best replacement name...

Something I ordered on vinted was sent with Evri... here is my tracking 😂
Nightmare
It eventually did arrive

I've also sold 4 items and the buyers chose the Evri/hermes option and so far they all just so "shipped" on 1st april when I sent them. No further tracking since. It's terrible

I read the new name as EVIL so maybe that's what they will be known as soon

MadameFantabulosa · 09/04/2022 19:16

They are Evri bit as shit as they were when they were Hermes. Paid for next day delivery last week, still no sign of the parcel. It has been “delayed” since last Monday. I’ve told the company that I won’t order from them again if they continue to use Evri.

Crimesean · 09/04/2022 19:20

I read the title thinking "WTF? Why would Hermés re-brand? Surely the brand name is half the value?!" Grin

The parcel company, however - they can get in the sea, I don't care what they call themselves.

BFPDec21 · 09/04/2022 22:15

Ah, refreshing to see they've changed their ways then! It must be the company working practices from top for it to still be so shit.

There are some really great courier companies and I can only think of one that is has been nearly as frustrating as Hermes/Evri in the past. They must be cheaper to use for a reason.

Yes to the name looking like Evil! It's like a brand name they've come up with on The Apprentice.

We had a lovely Hermes lady and now we don't. The last parcel from Evri was tracking in the Netherlands even after it had arrived on our doorstep (clue: we are not in The Netherlands). I have noticed Amazon Prime use Royal Mail for all our deliveries now, when before three quarters of them were Hermes. RM is quicker, so that at least is a win.

AHungryCaterpillar · 09/04/2022 22:45

I’ve never had a problem with them.
Always hear horror stories but they are great where I am, no issues at all!
