Baby getting registered at 9.20 haven't decided on name!!

Help!

Baby Felix needs a middle name either

Felix Raphael
Or
Felix Aleksander

DH has vetoed having both. Surname is long and begins with W.

If one person says to sack off both and go with Navidad I will explode 😩

Aleksander is a little Meerkat which makes the whole name a little Feline. Sorry.

I regret going with the middle name I thought sounded better at the time and not the one with a family connection.

DS is a Raphael and I therefore, love it. Love Aleksander as well however. Nowt wrong with two middle names, my DS has two. And nobody ever uses middle names anyway.

Aleksander is the family connection on my side. Raphael is the name we both love and would have used for a first name except we weren't keen on some abbreviations.

Unless you have a double barrel surname I don't think it will be longer than lots of DC who have one middle name and a double barrel surname if that helps?

My DC are Name Middle Surname-Surname
So same length as Name Middle Middle Surname

If you have a long surname, I would have short middle name.

I have 2 long middle names and I don't have to use them often but when they are needed for DBS checks etc they are a pain because they aren't really easy to spell either, so I'm with your DH on pick one; I like Raphael :)

Raphael sounds better.

Aleksandr has the X sound, same as Felix, so it doesn't flow perfectly (although is still a nice enough name)

Dh and I were actually arguing about ds2’s middle names in the car on the way to the registrar so it’s not just you.
Once we did decide it just felt right and all was well.

Are you likely to have another child? - looking at your post and how much you love Raphael, might it be sensible to have it up your sleeve for the next one?

If you are worried about what the initials spell out for another child, just avoid vowels the beginning of a middle name, although Aleksander would be OK for this babe - you on get RAW

Me too. I love Raphael too, but I think Felix Aleksander flows better than Felix Raphael. Although if you add Aleksander after the Raphael.. all lovely names OP, really great choices. My dd was also twenty minutes away from the registration appointment before she was named.
